That's pretty normal for Patreon, you can't count your pledges before they hatch, so to speak. Some artists have started sending out most of the special stuff via PMs to people with confirmed pledges instead of posting it on the activity wall, just for that reason. But if you made it to $271 in a couple of months, you're doing better than most people, so don't get discouraged.

Pretty much like Twifan said. Some of them are trolls, others are pledging to get access to your higher tier post's and attachments, others are doing this since "Patreon is ebil and artists who us it are even more ebil, hurr durr". If a patron of yours doesn't have an avatar set, has an e-mail like name1234@outlook or @hotmail and is only supporting you and no other artists then they are most likely one of the above. Send them a message why their pledge was declined and if you don't get a reply in a week just remove them.

Ah, this was what I was worried about. Quite a few accounts have been going around lately, pretending to fill up slots and never actually sending money. It's some kind of troll thing where they get patreon users hopes up just to dash them down at the end of the month. Many other creators have to purge their patreon subscribers for not paying so that they can show their real goal. lumineko just had to remove $1200 of fake supporters. People who have hung around for months and never given any amount of what they claim.
