Laptop Update
Well it's time to say good bye to my 2016 Razer. The summer heat combined with working in Unreal Engine and other processor heavy software has caused severe heat damage. Enough to cause my laptop's casing to expand, completely charring the charging port and other internal components. I've backed up all my work and already moved the projects over to my bro's laptop and a studio CPU I have access to.
I'm working towards getting a new upgrade and any support would be gladly appreciated.

Aya VS Taeyeon test fight. Rushdown characters such as Aya, Tae and Yuri have shorter back dash distances but cover large distances whilst dashing forward. Also landing her "Shake The Tree" multi kicks is

Sometimes things don't translate all that well from 2D to a 3D environment. Aya's tsunami roll stance went from a legitimate strong 50/50 stance to pretty useless. Easily beaten by a single step to right or left. Strong tracking needed here.

Preview fight that tests the buffer input responsiveness, CPU A.I and features new updated serenity stage. Game is feeling buttery smooth right now: A lot of back dash cancelling in this video. Also camera movement is still a little too abrasive and will be smoothed out.

How do you guys feel about bringing back male characters along with the OGs for Furia Royale: Unreal Engine edition as bonus fighters? Kinda a return to the original roots. Yes or No?
I personally like the idea of bringing them back as an extended bonus content. (Something to unlock in the story mode or through trials.) Let me know your thoughts.
I also wouldn't mind commissioning some male character designs for the Unreal Engine Project edition would be fun!

New Creator's Tier has been launched

This tier is suitable for those who wish to acquire assets for their own projects, so I'll be gifting Animation/Models/project files that other indie creators can use. I think this is a cool way for us to support each other in the indie gaming scene.
The first bundle up for grabs is the Taekwondo Fight pack I created for Yuri and Taeyeon for my project. The animations are in FBX format and the skeleton is set to the Unreal Engine mannequin structure.

Animations are created in Tekken/Furia Royale format frame data. The pack contains i10 to i20+ frame start up moves with pokes, launchers and combos.

Hey there folks my apologies for the delay we've ran into a number of issues/copyrights as well as prioritized the Unreal Engine game build development. The game build will be releasing this Sun 15.09.24
So what's been happening?
.New dialogue system issue. Dialogue would appear in other game modes when it shouldn't; has been resolved
Ran into a copyright issue involving fonts for the project which have been resolved peacefully, however I've had to create/manipulate new fonts from scratch which was tedious
Focused on Unreal Engine Game development and made significant strides! Unreal Engine game build on the horizon after we iron out some
IKEMEN PROJECT

Character's now interact with each other in a variety of ways depending on their relationship with the opponent. There are some secret interactions thrown as well as secret portraits.


This is just a sample of how the relationship chart looks. I'll attach the relationship chart to the post so those who have submitted guest characters can download and format their character interactions this way.
UNREAL ENGINE PROJECT
We got a gravity system implemented in the Unreal Engine Game build. Trying to steer clear of the wall to wall combos since there are ring out arenas.

UNREAL ENGINE UPDATES
I'm pleased to announce that the Unreal Engine Project progress is moving swiftly and I am trying as hard as I can to get the builds ready for public testing ASAP. The production workflow is smooth and streamlined as opposed to the workflow in the Ikemen engine.
STANCE IMPLEMENTATION
I've managed to faithfully replicate Doll Face's stance system from the 2.5D project and our resident psycho; now has an assortment of moves to flesh her out.






PLAYER 2 COSTUME FOR BETH

SIDE STEPPING + TRACKING
No point in having a 3D space if you can't use it right?. As of right now there are no tracking on/off notification flags, so stepping (especially to the right) is quite difficult. Tracking moves are currently handled via prolonged/active hitboxes on horizontal striking attacks.
Stepping to the left side seems to be the strongest movement option for now.

ASHANTI JOINS THE FIGHT
First look at the upcoming guest character commission "Ashanti" The character belongs to one the project supporters (laika687). Ashanti will be ready for release in the first week of the next month so stay tuned for some fight video's in the meantime.

A release is coming next week that fixes issues with Sozo's A.I and also adds the following content to the game build...

What's up folks! Your boy has been busy working on the Unreal Fighter Project for the past few months, so we can begin the new era and get some beta's out ASAP. I've also had the chance to rework some of the pledge rewards and offer some super cool new content including, Colour palette Requests, Costumes Requests, Furia Royale OST Giveaway, SFW + slightly NSFW concepts and renders and the chance to see your OC as an NPC as part of the stage environment in either Furia Royale Ikemen or Unreal Vers. She is a bio-organic construct built from the dna of all the fighters present in the project. Thus she is able to mimic and enhance their moves and well as shape her limbs into all manner of weaponry.

It's been a while since I've posted on here but I'm back with news of multiple updates regarding both game projects. It's been one heck of a tedious task optimizing assets, tweaking the stages, cutting every sprite, reducing and resampling ALL the sound to mono audio and the BGMs to under 32000hz.
New UPDATE FOR: FURIA ROYALE (IKEMEN) Vers

Performance Patch + Furia Royale Public
A new update containing frame data tweaks, Asset Optimization for better performance and decreased loading times is due for release. 2 Builds of the project will be released including a public BETA containing 5 characters and the initial upgraded build with the performance patch. I've also decided not to pack the game together as this seems to just increase loading times.

Taeyeon gets much needed Buffs
Taeyeon gets some beast buffs. From new anims, new moves, frame adjustments and invincibility on DP. No longer trash-tier?





Unreal Engine Build
We've been making steady progress on the UE build however I ran into a very annoying hiccup. I failed to realize that unreal uses Z up axis instead of Y up and thus ran into a number of problems that caused me to re-do things. I actually ended up remodelling and reskinning the characters using Unreal's Skeleton (Which I should have done in the beginning) instead of using my own skeleton.

Anyway since I had to back track, I took the time to make the rigs a little better and give the character's facial rigs instead of relying on blends spaces. This way we can get much better facial expressions and also easily retarget them to other characters.


I've also managed to capture the vibrancy and stylized look of the Ikemen engine version.

My apologies for the radio silence as of late. My focus has been primarily on shifting this project over to the Unreal Engine and familiarizing myself with it's functions. I'm now at stage where I have a solid foundation and a work flow that will get this project right back on track. Regular posting on twitter and other socials will now resume!

A huge announcement for all following the project. I think it's time we take this to the next level and move this project to the Unreal Engine where possibilities are endless and a faster and more convenient, workflow is complimented.

I have big plans for new games modes and story driven content that would just not be possible or practical with the ikemen engine such as a:
- Tekken force style game mode
- Exploratory RPG, campaign feature, similar to the new street fighter 6 story mode.
- Major Graphical upgrades and better allocated memory resources and options that have already decreased loading times.
- Multiple alternate costumes (all without rendering out tediously1000+ sprites over and over)
Diving into unreal has been super easy, and there's no shortage of tutorials out there that have/will help me kick this new Furia Royale chapter off with a blast. I cannot wait :D

Hi there folks here's the latest on the new game build.
Build releases tomorrow 04/12/21. Roles will be reset tonight in preparation for the new release so remember to request your roles if you haven't already at the project's discord. discord.gg/KhQ4pgT
Build Updates include
UI / INTERFACE
- Updated visuals on the main menu

STAGE ELEMENTS
- Interactable / breakable stage elements to spice up the fights



- New Falling and ground hit impact animations for all updated characters
Updated and fixed numerous issues with hitboxes including
Aya's "dragon's tail" kick not hitting certain grounded opponents
