A simpler way to charge patrons ?

Today, I stumbled upon this message in the settings of my patrons and well...
It says that "This is how patrons already expect to pay".
What do you think :
Is this how you'd like things to happen for you,
and for the new people joining here ?
Should we move to that new "Subscription billing" model ?
It seems like a good idea to me, but I'd like your opinion on this.

2022-09-29 13:34:47 +0000 UTCIf patrons are charged immediately on joining that means you wouldnt have a situation where someone joins in the middle of the month, downloads masses of stuff for free and then cancels before the 1st of the next month when they are due to be billed. Patreon might have closed that loophole now but I know a few creators were being ripped off regularly by that tactic.
