Start of the adventure

These are some OG drawings, way back when. Originally Birdie was a cleric of Olarion, the god of light, and was kicked from the temple when she was basically turned away/proved to have almost no clerical skills/magic and very badly injured a student (who was bullying her and as a result she fell out of a tree and broke her wings, so they're too small/not usable) but because she was "a bad kid" she got kicked out and trained under her famous cleric mom (who was going to be a high priestess of olarion but ran away to have birdie). Although she still wore Olarions robes etc in hopes that maybe one day her god would look kindly on her and let her be the healer she knew she could be, but NO. Her parents push her to open her own apothecary and work as a healer the more traditional, remedies based way. 

She resigns herself to that fate, but wants to see the world so she agrees under the condition that she gets to travel first before setting up shop,  and they agree. She has finally giving up her dream of being a cleric ONLY to get mugged after trying to help someone, lose her stuff and her ticket home, and then come to terms with the fact that she finally left home and is going to have to call her parents and say she got mugged. While simmering, she bumps into an adventuring party who desperately needs a healer, and no cleric will go with them because of their leader's track record. They're pretty beat up so she offers them what she has left, some remedies she can make on the spot, and they ask her to join! 

Also during her travel, she accidentally ran over a dragonborn with her cart who just so happens to be in her adventuring party now and HATES HER, for good reason cause she has no idea what she's doing and he's like "this lady is going to perish, why would u let her join"

And that's how Birdie proceeds to run away from home and join an adventuring party. Then she meets her current goddess and begins worshipping her and gets some super sweet magics.
