Hi everyone!
Here is my entry for MDC's Contest: Strange Universe. As you may know, I decided to use this contest to learn new skills and pipelines. I've explored workflows between Houdini and Unreal and tested the power of Real-time Render!
I've created landscapes in Houdini and exported them as HDA to Unreal. Created a character in Character Creator with direct export to Unreal. Explored the new KineFX in Houdini to retarget and compose all the animation. Had so much fun with this new system, and I'm not really into character animation. For the clothes, I went to Marvelous Designer to create cool clothes and simulate them fast (textures were done in Substance Painter).
At last, I explored a lot of the new workflow between Houdini Particles and Niagara! Tried a few simulations trying to explore the limitations until my computer said "please no mooooore!".
As you can see, I've used cool new skills and all of that will be turn into tutorials! So expect a lot of cool content with Houdini and Unreal in the future! We are going to start with Particles as you voted!
If you want to know more about the process of this work join our weekly live stream tomorrow (Thursday, 03-December)!
Hope you enjoy the video!
ps: some of you sent me messages and commented on the posts. I've been super busy trying to finish this video in time for the contest! I will take the time and answer all of you! I'm sorry about that!
