Houdini Tutorial . Liquid Sand and Mix fluids

 Hi everyone.

In this tutorial, we are going to learn how to use Particle or Popnet Knowledge inside fluid simulations. You are going to see how easy it is to apply particle force that we already explored in other tutorials into fluid simulations and mix fluids with differents parameters like viscosity and density.

Hope you enjoy it!

Hello, mete! Yes, you can. When you want to use an "add", you use && inside the if statement. when you say Cd.b<0.5 OR Cd.r < 0.5 you use || In your case you can do if(Cd.b<0.5 && Cd.r<0.5) I was looking for a good post explaining the logic operators and statement comparisons. here is the link: https://www.w3schools.com/js/js_comparisons.asp I hope it helps!

Thanks for the great tutorial ! In your VEX, you check only for Cd.b. Is it possible to check inside the "If" for both "Cd.b<0.5" and "Cd.r<0.5" for exemple ? Just to select exactly the colour I need, like purple or white (mixed colour channels). Thanks a lot.

Ok so right now I have Particles and Instance node. I see them in the render view, but they are looks like spheres, not a particles. Inside Particles node I have dopnet and box. (sorry can't attach the screenshot). And how to colorize them?

hope that helps. sorry for the bad quality but my phone camera is broken haha xD

Ok. lets try something quick. With fluids, it is better not to use copy to points because it will freeze your pc with thousand of particles xD So try to place an "instance" node on your root obj. and then on that node, go to "Instance" and link the particles node. Hope that helps.

I'm using only Mantra. It would be great! I finished the sticky particles tuto and it went great, I've made a good render. But this one isn't work.

Hi Serhii! How do you plan to render it? With mantra, octane or Redshift? I can make a quick video on how to render particles ๐Ÿ˜Š fast way/simple way to start is to use a sphere and copy to points node. I explain that on one of my free tutorial into pop net.

Who can help me? I finished this tuto and my particle don't visible in render preview. And also how to colorize them like in preview? I'm still learning basics. Thanks
