The scars of his punishment—both physical and emotional also made a big impact on him. Though he channels that pain into leading a paranormal investigation team and trying to seek redemption through this effort. His darker instincts still lurk beneath the surface, however—the urge to kill and drink blood is something he can’t escape. He uses physical intimacy as a means to keep those urges at bay which tends to complicate his personal relationships. While his actions often appear noble from the outside, his motivations are clouded by an internal conflict for vengeance, and self-preservation. So yes, Darius is neither a hero or villain, but a man caught in the gray, haunted by his past and the monster within him he strives to control. Sorry for the long comment, I got carried away 😆
