Full Panic Mode
Added 2024-09-01 16:23:59 +0000 UTCPatreon lets me do what I love but it has some of the WORST systems, I have been informed by quite a few members that they are still being charged and I quite honestly don’t know what to do.
I’m literally on my flight home from Spain and I don’t know what to do this very moment. I cannot make any changes or adjust anything to your pledges to make this process any easier. I need to figure out what to do or how to make this work. I don’t want ANYONE to be double charged or pay the wrong amounts. I will see what I can do to fix this! I would say PLEASE asap unpledge as soon as possible and see if you can have that amount refunded. I’m going to research what I can do in the next day.

2024-09-01 18:37:19 +0000 UTCThat’s totally fine! I figure that since we were just charged, you probably haven’t transferred these funds out so maybe the balance there would be enough to cover the refund? I don’t know. I’m just guessing here since I don’t know how Patreon works.

2024-09-01 16:50:37 +0000 UTCI’ll check this as soon as I’m home. I’ll have to do it via desktop. Mobile is super limited. I’ve also seen this particular problem which I’ve run into: “so I attempted to send refunds, only to be met with the error "You don’t have enough funds in your creator balance to refund this patron" because the money had been transferred out of my account already by the time support got back to me. After looking into this more, there doesn't appear to be any way for me to actually ADD any money to my creator balance.” I can’t grab anything now so I have to see if this is gonna be an issue.

2024-09-01 16:48:46 +0000 UTCCreators can issue refunds at their discretion Creators can refund a member’s 3 most recent payments from their Relationship manager. If a creator sells digital products and wants to refund a customer, they can do so from their Sales tab. Refunds can only be issued if the creator has a Patreon balance to cover the refunded amount. Creators can refund charges within 90 days of the processing date. If a creator needs to issue a refund older than 90 days, they can do so off of Patreon (i.e., on PayPal or Venmo).
