Important announcement for my patreons users with IOS!

Guys Starting November 2024, Patreon just updated their pricing system that now forces a 30% markup for new users pledging to creators via the IOS app. So if you use the Patreon iOS app, IOS NEW users will be charged more money. But if you pledge on the website on desktop, then things will remain normal. This change will not affect your pledge if you started pledging BEFORE November 2024. This change also ONLY affects new iOS pledges, not old ones. You can also still use the app and view content, as long as you don’t make a purchase in the app itself.

Currently, creators have a choice to either receive 30% less money from pledges made through the iOS app, OR to place that burden onto their patrons.These changes have nothing to do with me or patreon itself and I understand how disruptive and annoying this change is for you and it affects us creators as well, but I inform you about all this, so that you are not caught by surprise and overcharged without knowing the reason.

HOWEVER, this extra charge can be easily avoided by simply making a pledge via desktop, or otherwise NOT within the iOS app.So basically, nothing will really change as far as pricing goes, UNLESS you are making the pledge in the app. Just don’t spend money IN THE APP.

if your pledge began before November 2024, then nothing will change for you, this only effects new memberships in the IOS APP.
