What battlemap sizes do you most frequently use?

Hi all - I just wanted to run a quick poll to see what battlemap sizes do you most frequently use - note here that it is not what size you prefer, just use! I would love as many people to get involved as possible, so I know what sizes to realistically aim for in the future - even if just 10% of the 3500 folks here got involved, that'd give me a great idea!

Thanks
Snowy

Oh! That's a very interesting perspective - thank you so much for that ^^

One point I'd love a lot of map makers to keep in mind - most of the time landscape is better than portrait imo because that's how monitors are oriented. Landscape maps can be blown up larger to make good use of the available space, without lots of dead space or zooming such that a lot of the map is off-screen. Lots of maps are drawn with lighting or other subtle issues that don't hold up all that well when rotated...better to draw them natively landscape.

That makes sense - and I never considered the reusability aspect - that's quite interesting!

Hehe, this is very similar to my sorta setup. I find it easier personally to string smaller maps together into a larger theme/story :D

I prefer anything Large and anything bigger. My players are tactical, and a larger map gives them various positioning opportunities. Since my players do it, more intelligent enemies also use positioning when relevant. I can always rotate the map 90 to 180 degrees when using it again six months down the line and use different starting conditions inside the larger maps

If possible, when I prep for VTT game, I try go for larger maps + multi floor if supported (i like dungeon-like designs). However, in practice? Usually string smaller maps across the session, so medium is standard.
