Cabin Girl (Redux)
Added 2023-11-29 20:25:33 +0000 UTCPhew! This took me longer than I expected - but I'm happy with the results. I first created art for Maryanne Peters' short story back in 2019. Four and a half years ago! I wanted to tackle it again with my improved skill.
If you haven't read this story before, a little warning: Maryanne didn't pull any punches. The narrator is a sadistic bastard, through and through.
But there may be a light at the end of the tunnel for Gabriel / Gabby.

I’ve no idea of what’s involved from the technical perspective, but your deployment of whatever the technology puts at your disposal is just masterly, Emory. It’s like day and night compared to the original.

And post-work to take advantage of 32-bit HDR renders. I've learned so much in four years, it's kind of crazy. Looking back at my old art is a little painful. 🥲
