In this episode, the characters are grappling with the harsh realities of their past, present and uncertain future. The spotlight is on Sandy and Mrs. Ferris this time as they confront the ghosts of their past and the painful truths of their present. Meanwhile, Second Dawn shadow looms over everything...

Aww, thank you, Nina! I'm so glad you're back! And I'm so glad you like the artwork - I'm always trying to push myself to make each issue that much better. Sandy is still processing everything that was revealed in this episode. So much to take in! Oh, and I'm really happy with how the photo album turned out 🥰

Mrs. Ferris offered Sandy a chance (back when she was 'Scott'), which sort of went off the rails when Mortimer purposefully upped the estrogen dose. And yet, this also allowed Sandy to finally explore a side of herself she'd never even knew existed. Does that mean what Mortimer / Mrs. Ferris did was 'right'? Not even close, as Mrs. Ferris even admits in this episode. But this may be the first step in some sort of true reconciliation between them...

Yeah, you're right - the next couple episodes concerning what happened to the 'real' Sophia and, subsequently, Mr. Ferris will be dark. Finally, Sandy will know the truth behind the bars on those windows that she first wondered about in MAID FOR LIFE... And once she knows the truth, where will she go from there? ❤️

You take the reader from hating Mrs Ferris to feeling deep compassionate for her. I know she has destroyed any possabilty for Scott/ Sandy to ever be a male and this alone you would think would lead to her not being redeemable. Somehow you pull it off. Maybe Sandy’s lack of any real protest as well as her always wanting to, needing to feel a sense of connection and belonging have lead to these two broken lives seeming to be moving towards completing each other. Who knows? Maybe there is yet another twist in the plot that again shifts the readers changing allegiances and sympathies once again?

I'm not sure what the deal was. but whatever makes a sociopathic monster like Mr. Davis happy is bound to be awful.

The revelations in this chapter are shocking and turn the whole story upside down. The next couple of episodes are going to lead us into the very heart of darkness. I never stint in my praise for your art skills, Emory, but your writing and plot development are simply beyond compare. If you were to write novels you’d be the Patricia Highsmith of TG fiction. When it comes to darkness and invention the only other author and artist on TGC who comes close is the estimable Ms Comet.
