Homecoming - Episode 13

You can't go home again. - Thomas Wolfe

Season 2 of Homecoming begins... now! 😊 We have 26 new pages to start them off with some art that I'm quite proud of and what is hopefully an intriguing beginning.

I can't wait to hear what you think! 💖

Now, since it has been eight months since the end of Season 1, I thought this might be helpful...

Previously, on Homecoming...

Three years ago, Chris was a successful med student who was engaged to be married to Kayla, a law student. That is, until he was kidnapped by Bella and her accomplice, the Cunt, after an encounter with a distressed feminine-appearing person outside the hospital where he volunteered. Held captive in a strange cell, Chris was forcibly feminized, undergoing castration and receiving massive doses of female hormones. Throughout his captivity, Chris was forced to act as a prostitute, earning "points" through sexual acts with clients or by undergoing further physical modifications. A sliding scale of points was established, with different sexual acts and surgeries worth varying amounts, with the ultimate goal of accumulating 5,000 points for release. A vaginoplasty was immediately worth 5,000 points.

During his time as a captive, Chris again meets Cindy, who's the person he encountered outside the hospital. She's a fellow victim of Bella's who was also transformed into a woman. Cindy's story reveals Bella's pattern of targeting men who use prostitutes, hinting at a twisted form of punishment. Cindy's scheduled to have bottom surgery soon because she's sick of being a prisoner.

Among his clients, Chris meets Al, a widower with a son named Dustin. Al presents as a kind, albeit awkward man, who treats Chris with respect and kindness, unlike the other clients. Al's gentleness and respect humanize him and provide a semblance of normality for Chris in his otherwise horrifying circumstances.

As Chris continues to navigate through his feminization and role as a prostitute, he comes to a point where he has to perform oral sex on clients to earn points for his freedom. He chooses Al as his first client for this, indicating some level of trust and comfort with Al compared to the others.

Throughout the course of season one, as Chris is forced into a new gender identity and sexual role, he begins to develop a dissociative identity as a coping mechanism to endure his traumatic experiences. This identity manifests as "Kris," a feminine version of himself.

The concept of Kris is first introduced when Chris has to perform oral sex on Al. As he engages in this act, he dissociates, separating himself from the experience by thinking of himself not as Chris, but as Kris. This allows him to mentally distance himself from the sexual act he's forced to perform, reducing the cognitive dissonance and emotional distress that the reality of his situation brings.

Kris serves as a protective shield for Chris, allowing him to navigate his horrifying reality. By identifying as Kris during his interactions with clients, Chris's able to separate himself from the trauma, viewing his experiences as something that happens to Kris, not to Chris himself.

This dissociation also affects his perception of his physical body. As Chris's body changes due to the forced feminization, he leans into the Kris identity to cope with these changes. Kris accepts the developing breasts and feminine curves, while Chris might struggle to reconcile these changes with his previous masculine identity.

In the present, Chris's story is met with skepticism by Kayla's ex(?)-boyfriend, Benjamin, a police detective and Chris's former best friend. Benjamin believes Chris willingly transitioned and is making up his story out of regret. However, Kayla believes Chris and supports him, even providing Benjamin with details from Chris's story to investigate.

In the final episode, Chris is confronted by the Cunt, who's angry that Bella's let Chris go without him earning the necessary points. The Cunt is also angry that Bella won't tell her why she freed Chris. It’s also revealed that Chris's release was conditional on him finding a suitable replacement for Bella's brothel within a month, or face being returned to captivity and the possible murder of Kayla. The first season ends with Chris vowing to do "whatever it takes" to protect Kayla and himself.

Thank you, Kirsten! It's really fun to be back to Chris and Kayla's story. 😊 I hope you enjoyed the new episode, as well!

Emory Ahlberg

Love all your stuff but this is my favorite by far. Can’t wait for the next installment

Kirsten Roberts

Thanks, Elrod! I think your points about Chris's self-realization are spot on! The comic dives deep into the psychology of identity, exploring how we perceive ourselves and how others perceive us. Is Chris both himself and Kris? Or was she only a part of him he needed to access while in captivity? Did she start out as one thing and become another? If he IS both at once, it'd be like he's been looking in a mirror all this time, but only seeing half of his reflection. 💖 And then there's Kayla. Her realization that Chris has this integrated personality could lead to all sorts of reactions, from shock and confusion to acceptance and understanding. It's a chance for her to see a whole new side of someone she thought she knew well - but that can be scary as hell, too.

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you so much, Alex! I'm just as happy being back to exploring Chris and Kayla's story. There's a lot more to discover. 😊

Emory Ahlberg

So glad you're writing this again! Such a good story so far!

Alex Nicolai

At some point, I expect a real shock when Chris realizes that he is both Kris and Chris and has accepted that subconsciously, despite his thoughts that they're two separate people. It could be great drama for Kayla to realize that Chris is both as well, to realize that the person she knew as Chris is really changed and has a whole new side integrated into his personality. Of course, if Chris really accepts Kris as part of him, how does that change his thoughts of 'going back' - which he may already realize subconsciously is almost impossible, both physically and mentally? When and how does Chris realize and accept that fact? And likewise, I love this story and its complexity. There are so many ways this could go, and you're doing a great job keeping up the dramatic tension.

Elrod W

Thank you so much, Tamsin! 💖 I really love watching the delicate, dynamic balance between Chris and Kayla unfold. And, of course, we'll have more flashbacks to his time with Bella, as well and the physical / emotional changes Chris went through there.

Emory Ahlberg

This is so sweet, and sad, and complicated, and screwed up, and… aaaaah. It’s brilliant, Emory. 🥰

Tamsin Davis-Langley

Kirsten, that means a lot to me. Thank you! I'm so happy that you're enjoying reading it as much as I am writing it. I love the complexity of the characters and both the vulnerability and strength of Chris... and Kris, too. 😊

Emory Ahlberg

I love your work but this is by far the best series you’ve ever done

Kirsten Roberts

Thank you, Robert! Yeah, you've just about nailed it! Chris is basically playing a game of emotional Jenga and trying desperately not to let the tower topple...while in the middle of an earthquake. And I totally agree with you on the hair-shaving part. It’s like trying to fix a leaky dam with duct tape. The change is way beyond the physical—it's a whole new internal landscape he's dealing with. And yes, admitting that out loud? That'd be heartbreaking and irreversible for both of them. And so, they're both walking on eggshells... on a tightrope... over a volcano. And thank you so much for the compliment on the art. I'm proud of it! I think my favorite show of emotion is Kayla in the chair when she thinks Chris is giving her the silent treatment because she messed up. She looks so sad. 😢

Emory Ahlberg

Jam, you're so sweet. Thank you!!!! 💖 Please say it as often as you like - I promise I won't get tired of hearing it lol

Emory Ahlberg

OMG, Bowie. You always crack me up! 🤣🤣🤣 💖

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Elrod!!! I love your deep dive into the story. Kayla's motives are a bit muddy, especially since she's keeping the fact that she's talking to Detective Ben to herself. Is she nervous about Chris's reaction? Also, he probing about when Chris will get around to detransitioning makes it clear that what Benjamin said has stuck with her. Is a happy ending possible? I think that'll all depend on your definition. I did choose the Thomas Wolfe quote for a reason - and it's sort of the lesson Chris will need to learn. 😢 And I'd love to churn out episodes faster too! But I'm trying to avoid any caffeine-induced hallucinations. They're not as fun as they sound. 🤣 💖

Emory Ahlberg

Chris hasn’t told Kayla the whole terrible story yet because (a) he’s not ready to and (b) he’s not ready to accept the full enormity or finality of the changes that have happened to him, both physical and psychological. Shaving off his hair has made little difference to the woman that he has essentially become, and his unwillingness to admit that truth to himself is blocking him from sharing his confused feelings with Kayla. What makes it worse is that if he did, right now there’s no way of knowing how she’d react, regardless of how emotionally sympathetic she’d be initially. It’s a truly horrible situation. And all this with the commitment to Bella to find a replacement or the threat to Kayla. It’s unbearable. The pressures are coming from so many angles it’s amazing that he/she hasn’t exploded already. I haven’t even mentioned the art yet: the love and longing on Kayla’s face together with her anguish at being unable to understand Chris’s remoteness is exquisitely and painfully moving. You’ve really captured it. Meanwhile Chris/Kris is maintaining a barrier because he/she can’t trust themself to let their defences down, and you’ve put it all in the eyes and those quivering lips. It’s terrific art, Emory. xx

Robertlouis

I will never get tired of saying it, you are great Emory!!! 😍🥰 I love you!!! thank you 🥰😘😘

jam

I think Chris/Kris has a severe case of PTFD... Post Traumatic FEMINIZATION Disorder!

Bowie897

I like how you've captured Chris' mental turmoil. Kayla wants to help - although I think her reasons for doing so are still potentially quite muddied and possibly not so 'pure' (and I am curious to see if my guesses are accurate here), but she has no idea. Clearly, she has no idea what Chris/Kris went through, nor how flashbacks are affecting her. Your visual technique for those flashbacks paints a mental picture of PTSD-like flashbacks - without words, those pictures explain a LOT. It's with both anticipation and a bit of dread that I open these episodes; I'm eager to see how the story progresses (it's that captivating, both story-wise and visually), but I'm dreading how this will end. I'm a sucker for a happy ending, but I'm not sure how you can get happy endings out of this mess. There are too many hidden agendas, motives, and as-yet untold story bits of the 3-year captivity (for everyone), that it's hard to predict. Is Kayla really a white-hat, or is she acting because she's an accomplice to what's-his-name? Does she deserve a happy ending? What's a happy ending for Chris? Can he even get one, or is a less-unhappy one the best he can do? What f. ther anguish is in store for Chris? How many more heartaches and stabs-in-the-back? All in all, I love this story and wish it'd come faster - and thus get to the ending faster.

Elrod W

That's so sweet, Estacia. I admit I'm quite happy with how this one turned out. I have lots of plans for this season. 😁

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you so much, Bjorn! I'm already outlining Episode 14. 😊

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Ella!!!! I always want to make it look like you're watching a show or movie with the angles and lighting. And thank you for mentioning Kayla! I wanted to make her seem like the pretty girl next door who doesn't quite realize how lovely she is. Meanwhile, her poor fiancé is a knockout. 😂

Emory Ahlberg

Hola ckarya! Thanks for your comment as always! The line "Well, of course it's Kris, hun. Who else would I be?" has a dual meaning. Chris / Kris is pronounced exactly the same way in English (I don't know if it is in Spanish). So, when Kayla says "Chris?" in shock to seeing him in her sexy lingerie and he responds with "of course it's Kris" the reader knows that he has switched personas - but Kayla may not. As for the interaction with Kayla's fiancée, Chris/Kris knows the only way he can be intimate with her is if he "let's go" as Kayla said and slips into a persona that is comfortable with his (her) body. That's Kris. ¡Esperamos que esto te ayude y gracias por tu apoyo!

Emory Ahlberg

Great episode

Bjorn

Fun idea as always, Tiki! So imaginative! ♥

Emory Ahlberg

It's one of my favorite little quotes / book titles. And for a comic called "Homecoming," I thought it was fitting. 😁

Emory Ahlberg

No doubt it will be very different from her intimate moments with Chris.

Emory Ahlberg

For the moment, at least, Kris is on the "external"

Emory Ahlberg

I'm glad you like the Chris/Kris dynamic! It's always exciting to me to explore the complexities of characters with dual identities. 😊

Emory Ahlberg

Chris is stuck in a very difficult position. His captors have repeatedly threatened Kayla's life, both tacitly (making her name and postal code the password on the laptop) and now explicitly at the end of Season 1. Chris also doesn't know that she's talking to the police, which is increasing her danger. In his mind, the best thing he can do is find someone "suitable" for Bella's treatment.

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Charlotte! 😊 I'm looking forward to this season a great deal.

Emory Ahlberg

It's true -- I looove a good POV shot. I've considered doing a whole comic using them, but I figured it'd be a bit too gimmicky. Also, the POV character would have to find an excuse to look down all the time to see her new boobs. 😂

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Gemma! Kayla has consistently claimed she wants to be with Chris despite what happened to him. I guess this is her chance to "put up or shut up" as they say. 😊

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, sniggy! Poor Chris isn't over his ordeal. Not by a long shot.

Emory Ahlberg

Just read this again, with the benefit of *not* having woken up five minutes before and, god, it’s wonderful. Especially amazing is Chris thinking himself back into Kris; the way you sell it just with body language, the way the reader can literally see it coming, is SO good.

Alyson Greaves

This story is so interesting to watch unfold. Always pleased with your work, Emory. 🥰

Estacia

Well, I love this story, so I'm thrilled it's back, and the first chapter didn't disappoint. But what I want to applaud this time with this message are the images. Wow, Emory, it's getting better all the time. The renders, the angles, very cinematographic! And I really, really love how real and beautiful Kayla's body is! In panel 11, it's shown beautifully. It's not only a great choice in my opinion, but also much more immersive, at least for me, so thank you very much! ❤️

Ella Cherry

Hello everyone, I hope you can help me. The last sentence of the episode (p.26) 'Well, of course it's Kris, hun. Who else would I be?" I'm having a hard time translating it into Spanish. I understand the words, but not the sentence in all its context, I can't get satisfied with the translation I do as well as the online translator. I think that as I said before I lose some context when translating it, I can't give it the right meaning and I think it's an important phrase in the story. It could also be because Emory leaves the sentence as a cliffhanger and its meaning is fully explained in the next chapter. Could someone try to explain the phrase with other words to see if I can translate it correctly? PS: now reading the introduction Emory made in the post (impatience made me not read it before hehe), I understand it somewhat better... but it leads me to new questions arrgh!!! Why Chris uses Kris with Kayla? Why he feels threatened with her fiancée to activate his 'self-defense'? Thanks!

ckarya

"You can't go home again" is an interesting quote. It has an interesting take due to duelity of within Chris/Kris mind. The "home" part of the quote maybe talking about that Chis is not going to be lone in his mind, slowly bridging his and Kris' minds to become a new woman with a mixture if both attributes.

Tiki D

I wonder how Kayla would react to having sex with Kris?

Tiki D

It would be interesting if Jack and Jill have mentally external issues (I know we have them internally within their dream world) during their time with Mason and Holly.

Tiki D

This part has also inspired an another what another "What if" idea in Jack and Jill universe. What if Madison (Jack's Former Girlfriend) rescue Jack/Pre-Jill during Phase five? In original timeline, Madison was going to work Xu (not knowing his true intentions) when Jill and Davis came to the Mainland in Phase 7. What if she accepted Xu offer earlier? Overtime she would learn that her former ex-boyfriend is becoming a woman. She would knock out Xu's members like Mason, Xu, and Holly and escape with her ex-boyfriend off the island. Jack/Pre-Jill would still have internal identity crisis of trying to be the guy she used to be, but the birth of Jill's mind within starts to take dominance and Madison would realize it would be too late to get Jack back to way he was. Not only his body was changed, his mind as well. She would try to help Jack/Pre-Jill adjust, but unknown to them, Xu has spies to keep track of them.

Tiki D

I can't wait to see more of the sides of Chis/Kris being like this in terms of being mentally external.

Tiki D

I really like the duelity of Chris/Kris in this chapter. I wonder how Kayla is going react talking to Kris side of Chris?

Tiki D

Everything you do is well worth the wait, my muse. It seems that unlike Holly, Chris/Kris is willing to make much larger moral compromises. But I'm not judging to harshly. Bella & The Cunt seem...at least to me...to make Xu, Davis and Hatcher appear ALMOST normal and moral.

Alex From the Tri-Cities

So worth the wait. Amazing!

Charlotte

First comment should read Kayla not Maggie

Gemma

I like your old favourite PPV Emory in image 6 which certainly connects your readers more with Chris/Kris and his/ her new lived reality.

Gemma

Incredible as usual 💕

Alyson Greaves

Interesting! I wonder how open and flexible Maggie is around her sexual experimentation and sexual orientation?

Gemma

off to a great start! loved the flashback. going to be another great read.

sniggy02

I believe "Kris" may well oblige regarding the - AHEM - bed action, Maggie! 🤣 Unfortunately, Chris did cut off all his pretty hair... but he did say to the Cunt that he planned on donning a wig to seduce whatever poor bastard will be taking his place!

Emory Ahlberg

Oh Krissy, Krissy, Krissy, Kris... I think you're lying to your fiancée and you're not completely numb down there... you just didn't want shameful flashbacks to continue and you're ashamed to admit to Kay that you got them... oh... I hope you'll adapt ASAP... cause I can't wait to see some les-action in that bed with you and Kay... P.S. This is official petition to force Kris to grow longer hair ASAP... ❣️❣️❣️

Maggie Heels

Enjoy, Skye! And all of Season 1 is available for download in the Mega folder if you feel like a re-read. 😊

Emory Ahlberg

Oooooohhhhh!!!! Well, this is a nice surprise, I'll get on reading it asap!!!!! Thanks, Ms. Emory!!!! ❤️
