Hotfix: Duct Tape Fixes Everything
Added 2024-05-13 14:25:48 +0000 UTCSo, this ended up being necessary, although I wasn't expecting it at first. The game had a few bugs, including a couple of which would be very annoying for players, and that ultimately tipped the scales in favour of releasing this little fix. The size is a little larger because the new art is already included in the files, even if it won't be visible for the most part (excluding the Outcasts endings slides).

Bugfixes:
Fixed one of Sonya's dialogue if you visit the Queen of Hearts while pregnant (the dialogue didn't properly check if you were under her influence in one instance);
Fixed issue with Alec's farm being available before you visited his master's house and asked about his whereabouts;
Fixed a visual issue with the puzzle right before the third temple (the mountain picture would be partially covered by the tileset);
Fixed an issue that could freeze the game if you fell during the ladder climb in the final chapter;
Since it's a bit late in the development, you also get a full new scene for the red dress and 3 smaller ones (repeatable). I had to tweak things to avoid including the new art with the hotfix. It wouldn't be a major issue to leave it accessible, except that I'll be using this version for the public update eventually, and didn't want to "leak" the art to the public build ahead of time, while I figured that some extra scenes wouldn't be a problem. I assume the tweaks won't have a negative impact, but do let me know if there are any more problems.
Anyway, I'll be back soon with the weekly dev blog as well. See you there! ^_^

I heard about the many alternative uses of WD-40 before. I should propose them a cross-promotion, eventually. XD

2024-05-14 06:02:09 +0000 UTCDon't forget WD-40 will fix everything too. It makes it all smoother smoother. So now, Erica will only chafe due to collars being too tight, etc. Forgive my dry, sometimes lame humor. As always, thanks for the timely and thorough job.
