Chapter 97: Riding the Ferris Wheel (1)

The foreign youth I pulled aside was a little surprised. He didn't expect someone to interrupt them. He was a little annoyed and asked in his broken Chinese, "You, who are you?"

"Fuck you, I'm your dad." I stared at the foreign youth coldly. From his somewhat stilted Chinese, it seemed that he had lived in Xia for some time.

Then, I reached out to stop Qin Xinmei behind me, and my eyes couldn't help but fall on her cold and delicate face to see if she was frightened.

Qin Xinmei glanced at me calmly, without any fear in her expression, but with a cold look on her face.

However, I noticed that Qin Xinmei had already dialed 110 on her cell phone. I guess she was going to call the police if she found that the other party continued to harass her, but she just didn't make the call.

I just saw them blocking Qin Xinmei from the front and back. Luckily they didn't do anything clumsy, otherwise I would have smashed the faces of these two yellow-haired guys with my fists.

"Chen Qing, don't worry, I'm fine." Qin Xinmei stepped forward and stood beside me, staring at the two of them coldly, and the coldness on her clear and fair face became more and more intense.

The other young foreigner's expression changed immediately. He stepped forward, pulled my arm, and angrily said in broken Chinese, "Friend, how can you curse at me?"

"Who are you friends with? Get out of here." I forcefully shook off the foreign youth's large hand, pointed at his face, and said coldly, "If you dare to pull me again, I'll beat you to death."

The foreign youth's face changed, and he shouted angrily in broken Chinese: "Fuck you, you want to die?"

As he spoke, another foreign youth angrily stepped forward to confront me, looking like he wanted to fight.

"Chen Qing, don't be impulsive." Qin Xinmei's cold face was as cold as ice. She looked at me as if I was trying to defend her and wanted to fight. Perhaps to avoid worrying me, she said in a concise and quick tone:

"While you were getting a cold drink, these two people tried to ask for my contact information, using the usual cliché of asking for directions. I refused, and that's how things turned out. However, they didn't do anything to me, otherwise they would have been in a lot of trouble."

I glanced at Qin Xinmei, still furious, and immediately clenched my fists, thinking that if these two bastards dared to move, I would punch them.

"If you want to fight and are not afraid of death, come on." I suddenly warned the two yellow-haired men in English, my eyes still cold. If they found anything wrong, I would take the initiative without reservation.

The two foreign youths were obviously frightened by the ferocious look on my face. They felt a little timid and looked at each other. Perhaps because they were afraid, they couldn't help but take two steps back.

However, the two of them started cursing in English in some very ugly language. They were not cursing Qin Xinmei, but cursing me, which was unbearable to hear.

Qin Xinmei's eyes flashed with a hint of coldness that was different from usual, and then disappeared in a flash.

My face changed, I snorted, and without saying anything, I immediately waved my fist and wanted to move forward, but was held back by a cold and soft jade hand.

"Chen Qing, don't be impulsive, calm down." Qin Xinmei's face was cold, and her jade hand tightly held my wrist, preventing me from going forward. The other jade hand held a mobile phone and a white handbag, hanging low by her legs, with the back of the phone facing the two foreign youths.

I looked at Qin Xinmei in confusion and tried to break free from her grasp, but her hand held my wrist tightly like glue. I immediately said angrily, "Mom, please don't stop me! Let me beat them up and let off some steam."

Perhaps because of the noise, three patrolling amusement park staff members came running over from a short distance. "Chen Qing, be good and let's go," Qin Xinmei noticed the staff members running over. She clutched a white handbag and her phone in one hand, ignoring the two young foreigners. Her calm face remained calm, unperturbed. She looked at me soothingly, then took my wrist and walked away, perhaps avoiding drawing attention to herself, toward a less-traveled path.

I was so angry about Qin Xinmei's obstruction that I couldn't help but quicken my pace. How could she calmly stop me when these two people were scolding me? The more I thought about it, the angrier I got, and I continued to move forward.

However, when I took ten steps, I found that Qin Xinmei did not follow me. I stopped immediately and turned around. Qin Xinmei was standing quietly there, with her head lowered, holding her mobile phone, tapping the screen quickly with her fingers, as if she was sending a message.

Looking at Qin Xinmei like this, I couldn't help but sigh and could only walk back.

In fact, I know what Qin Xinmei is thinking. I guess she doesn't want to make a big deal out of it, so she chooses to run away to avoid being reported in various media. After all, she is the president of a group. Some media fabricate rumors for traffic and have no bottom line. It would also be troublesome for the group's public relations department to come out and refute the rumors.

"Mom, why are you standing still? What are you doing?" I wanted to see who Qin Xinmei was texting so attentively.

However, when I walked in front of Qin Xinmei, I didn't have time to see the contents of the phone. Qin Xinmei raised her head, a faint smile on her cold face, and put the phone into her white handbag without leaving a trace.

"I wanted to see how far you'd go before coming back." Qin Xinmei asked calmly, "Why, are you mad at Mom?"

  I said angrily, "Nonsense."

Qin Xinmei glanced at me and said, "Now that you're no longer angry, let's go."

I kept my head down and said nothing. Qin Xinmei and I walked away from where the incident happened and walked on a deserted path in the playground. Qin Xinmei didn't say anything, and her cold and fair face was quiet.

Qin Xinmei's two slender legs in her beige skirt walked at a moderate pace. Her two delicate apricot-colored high-heeled feet stepped on the stone slabs, and the slender heels made a slight sound when they rubbed against the ground.

Qin Xinmei and I walked about twenty meters when suddenly the view in front of us opened up and we saw a huge Ferris wheel slowly turning in the air.

At this moment, my impulsive emotions also disappeared. I thought about it and said puzzledly: "Mom, take what happened just now as an example. From now on, I will stay by your side every step of the way to avoid repeating the same mistake."

"Give me the orange juice." Qin Xinmei stopped, her tall figure supported by her two apricot high-heeled jade feet. She took the orange juice from my hand, inserted the straw, took a small sip, and stared quietly at the rotating Ferris wheel.

"Mom, what are you looking at?" I saw that Qin Xinmei didn't answer me, and I felt a little dissatisfied. My tone couldn't help but rise a few degrees: "Mom, did you hear what I said?"

"Chen Qing, I'm not deaf, why are you shouting so loudly?" Qin Xinmei recalled how I had almost gotten into a fight over her, her cold face tinged with emotion. But she half-closed her eyes and said, "Following me everywhere, I'm afraid your thoughts and intentions aren't that simple."

"I don't have any bad intentions." I said seriously, "Mom, if those two had touched you, I would have beaten them up."

Qin Xinmei didn't say anything. Seeing my persistent expression, she felt moved from the bottom of her heart. Her black and white eyes flashed with excitement, but it was quickly hidden.

But the cold expression on Qin Xinmei's cold face that had been condensed for many years seemed to have melted away. She smiled slightly, naturally and comfortably, like a hundred beauties blooming in bloom. Her beautiful face was as pure as dust, and her fair cheeks, with a bit of gentleness, swept into my pupils.

My heart felt like it was scratched by a cat, or filled with honey, so sweet that I was a little intoxicated for a moment.

"Chen Qing, they just scolded you. I know you've been wronged. Even if we take a step back, fighting won't solve the problem. Besides, you're the apple of my eye, and I can't let you get hurt in the slightest." Qin Xinmei pursed her red lips and said, "Remember, no matter what happens in the future, don't be impulsive. Fighting doesn't do any good. You should stay calm when encountering problems. And another thing is, I'm not someone you can easily bully."

At last, Qin Xinmei still had a smile on her face, her delicate head slightly tilted up, her long hair half tied up, a bunch of messy hair hanging on her fair cheek at some point, a pair of apricot-colored high-heeled feet supporting her perfect figure, making people unable to take their eyes off her.

Qin Xinmei stared at the Ferris wheel without blinking, her red lips sipped orange juice, and her eyes suddenly rippled with starlight, as if she was yearning for something.

I looked at Qin Xinmei's perfect profile and asked in confusion, "Mom, what are you thinking about?"

"The weather is too hot, I think we should go home quickly." Qin Xinmei glanced at me, her eyes turned around, and saw a trash can not far away. Two slender legs in the beige skirt stepped out of two delicate and white apricot high-heeled jade feet with ribbons. She threw the empty cup into the trash can, then took out a pack of tissues from her handbag, took out a few and wiped the corners of her mouth.

I also drank the orange juice and threw the empty cup into the trash can. My eyes fell on Qin Xinmei's cool and fair cheeks and her tempting red lips. I couldn't help but want to kiss her, but with people coming and going around me, I gave up the idea.

Qin Xinmei handed me a tissue. I took one. Although there was nothing on the corner of my mouth, I still wiped my mouth and threw the tissue into the trash can.

Just when I was about to tell Qin Xinmei where we wanted to go next, a clear and pleasant cell phone ringtone came from Qin Xinmei's white handbag.

Qin Xinmei took out her cell phone from her white handbag, glanced at me, took a few steps slowly, swiped the answer button and put the phone to her ear.

I was a little confused. Qin Xinmei was answering the phone and hiding from me. Was there something I couldn't hear? I suddenly felt a sense of strangeness. After thinking about it, I sneaked forward to listen to who Qin Xinmei was talking to and what they were talking about.

However, Qin Xinmei seemed to have intentionally turned down the volume of her phone. I couldn't hear who was on the other end and started to get anxious.

Qin Xinmei answered the phone, glanced at me, and said calmly into the phone: "Leave some life, even if it's half-dead."

After saying that, Qin Xinmei hung up the phone, turned her head and glared at me.

I asked in confusion: "Mom, who were you talking to? What do you mean by half-dead? It sounds creepy."

"It's Sister Fang calling." Qin Xinmei turned on her cell phone and showed me the conversation.

Qin Xinmei put her phone into her white handbag and continued explaining, "Two yellow stray dogs just sneaked into her yard and nearly bit her friend. Sister Fang was furious and called me for advice, asking whether to kill them or spare their lives. I told her that a stray dog's life is also a life, and it's not worth dying."

I glared at him and said, "Mom, are you always this fierce?"

Qin Xinmei raised her jade hand and patted my head, her face cold and gloomy, and said with some dissatisfaction: "Little bastard, I was just joking, what are you thinking about?!"

I touched my head and couldn't help but feel angry: "Mom, I'm already such a grown-up, please don't hit me on the head."

In fact, I knew that Qin Xinmei had something else in her words. She must have something to tell me, otherwise she wouldn't hold her phone away from me before answering the call.

However, judging from Qin Xinmei's expression and her tone, she was very nonchalant. After my simple analysis, it didn't seem to be a big deal, so I didn't think about it any more.
