Also the plot was pretty good, and a lot of the characteristics were realistic and funny, I was super surprised at how good of a production this was and so happy to much of the general public is enjoying this! also idk if you saw but some of ZB1 members did a quick titkok dance to soda pop :))) it was so cute LOL

2025-07-04 23:59:05 +0000 UTCthe singer who voiced rumi in the songs is EJAE who used to be an SM trainee and is now a brooklyn-based songwriter and producer - she's done songs for twice, red velvet, aespa, kard etc. - and she co-wrote the original songs for the movie plus sang all the demos, including the ones for saja boys. the ending song ("this is what it sounds like") was very emotional for her because it resonated with her experience as a kpop trainee when she had to hide anything labeled as imperfection about herself (she mentioned this in a forbes interview as being too loud, too big, not feminine enough etc.) and that can be really tough on a person's confidence and sense of self. she also drew on her experience as korean-american (the movie's writer/director is korean-canadian btw) as inpiration for zoey's lines about being torn between two sides of herself. aaaaanyway, i think jinu's betrayal of his own family kinda sealed his fate (it's like the greatest dishonor in korean culture) bc he could not escape the guilt of what he's done... but there are a LOT of shippers and jinu fans who have tons of theories on how he could return, so you're not alone :) OH - junhee from A.C.E did a cover of Your Idol and absolutely killed it, you should check it out (i think it got over a million views in 2 days). talk about viral!
