Seventeen 'Happy Burstday' Full Album Review + 'Thunder' Stage Reaction

I think you’re coming from vernon’s earlier work which is kinda chill hiphop… but right now he’s into punk rock and electronic music and it shows in his latest releases… I actually like his newer works since I think it really makes him stand out as a solo artist. like I really can’t think of someone in kpop that does similar works to vernon…. congrats to woozi and vernon for being members of the recording academy❤️ which is so well deserved. they have one of the biggest catalogue of produced/written songs in kpop and their styles in production and lyricism really stands out in kpop so it makes so sense that the academy will invite them to become a member❤️ I love this album so much cuz its not just ask them all to make individual songs and call it s day. there’s clear intention on choosing songs and lyrics that would fit and describe a member! unfortunately the era did not performed that well but creativity wise this is a highlight album from them! fml and this is one of their best!

uji is such an underrated vocalist!!!! and his lyricism is sooooo tea! like I can imagine him years from now release the biggest ballad in korea! he just give me the energy of someone that can produce songs like If Its Still Beautiful… If It Is You…Resignation…. etc… he kinda did it with Downpour which is so popular is korea but it was performed by I.O.I and always performed in survival shows for ballad challenges

This is a personal wish, but before watching nana bnb, I want you to watch a talk video of SEVENTEEN on Na PD's channel There's talk about personal solo songs from the album, there's talk about raising expectations for nana bnb, and they play games! https://youtu.be/YKriEVUohAc?si=K1VZtdkRGyzYbBPZ

thanks for all the fun facts! this is so cool! woozi's song still makes so much sense given they both worked together for a long time. I feel their sound is kinda beautifully synonymous with each other at this point haha glad you're here for nana bnb! it's gonna be so fun!

rushed here after hearing you're going to be doing a reaction for nana bnb! so glad to be here again! just wanted to share a few fun facts and information about the album: - HBD was actually supposed to be the title track, but Woozi (and the members) weren't satisfied(?) with it enough for it to be the title track and so Thunder was born! - They were told the solo songs were about them, and to be like, represent them or 'their self'. which explains why the songs suits each of them so much, like happy virus by dk (he has been introducing himself as a happy virus since debut), gemini by jun (who is a gemini and felt like there are two sides of him) etc. - Woozi's solo song Destiny was, in fact, NOT written by Woozi! AT ALL. he did not participate in composing it nor writing the lyrics. It was a song by BUMZU (another of seventeen main producer) and Park Gitae (who also participated in many seventeen songs). The song was some kind of a gift from the two person he worked with the most, and the lyrics was about Woozi's life and how they think Woozi would have felt. - For the background vocals, Woozi has always helped with the members background vocals for their solo songs! Im not sure which ones from these albums he helped with though, but i won't be surprised if he helped everyone with the background vocals - Personally, i think Vernon solo song is very him! He does mentioned several times liking the genre and i find it to have the same vibe with his past solo songs, but this one is a little more relaxed in lack of better word. Personally my top 4 is, in no particular order - Fortunate Change (Joshua Solo) - Raindrops (Seungkwan Solo) - Destiny (Woozi Solo) - Jungle (Scoups Solo) I predict they will be doing solo songs in their tour too! Though i hope they managed to squeeze all 13 members solo songs in one day instead of dividing it into three days like they used to do in their previous concert (Ideal Cut in Seoul concert) before. Looking forward to your Nana BNB reaction! The first episode is coming out tomorrow (6/2) from where i'm from. Gonna be rewatching Nana Tour while waiting for it to drop🩷

ooo great top 3! i’ll get back to you guys on mine cause there was a lot of songs and so many good ones! ill have to double check vernon’s solo stuff! glad u can join us again!

Vernon's solo song is really him. It's similar to what he has done before in his mixtape, Black Eye. But I understand since the style is very hit-or-miss. Dino is reaaally good. He's good at everything, even at rapping. And he always slay his part. But somehow, people rarely talk about it 🤷🏻‍♀️ Funny that whenever you say the song is very Seventeen, it's made by either Woozi or Bumzu. Shows that you really know their style. Through this album, one thing I realize about Svt is that they NEVER play with instrumentals. And I love that about them. Glad to be here again! It's been quite a while. Very excited to watch Nana Bnb with you 😆 My top 3 are: 1. Fortunate Change 2. Gemini 3. Trigger Would love to know yours, too!
