I only vaguely remember the details, but what stands out most is that he and Woongki were on the same team in Boys Planet and performed Feel Special by TWICE. During that stage, Woongki had to take charge and practically sang the entire song by himself because no one else stepped up. There was also that moment when they got scolded for not interpreting the song/choreo correctly during rehearsal. Instead of taking accountability, Shuaibo blamed Woongki for not explaining it to them—when, in reality, he did. Woongki basically carried the whole team, yet when it came down to voting, Shuaibo ended up scoring the most points out of everyone. I remember being so frustrated about that lol. So, when I saw him on here, I still had some lingering feelings from Boys Planet. BUT, I have to admit—after watching the show, he’s really grown on me. He’s super sweet, super funny, and I’ve loved seeing his growth. It honestly made me really happy <333

2025-02-22 18:05:26 +0000 UTCI adore Shuaibo. I never watched BP but I have watched other things by MNET and read a lot of articles. They are often quite racist towards Chinese contestants. I think you will like him a lot more on a show where he is not evil edited and made to look bad and lazy because he is Chinese! That Siren audition is still one of the best performances I have watched! They did so amazingly well to dance like that whilst remaining pretty stable and keep the energy going until the end! JL is a member of the group PLUUS :)

I like that majority of the boys got the basics down, which makes this competition even better. Rooting for Team Rhythm, JL, Steven, and Daisuke. From the clips I saw online, I think there will be chances wherein teams can switch their members. Looking forward to the drama and of course the performances. Have a safe trip going to the Philipppines!

2025-02-20 23:22:47 +0000 UTCgosh, these stages are SO GOOD. everyone did well, but as a whole, i think siren was my favourite. i agree with you---groove team seem the most stable so far, and they have my two 1st-ep-faves (han & kyungho, plus jeongwoo as a special mention because his basics need a lot of work but the guy is a natural in front of the camera--so, so charming). other contestants that caught my eye are juwon, jiang fan, joohyoung, steven, and of course, JL. woongki's quite well-rounded as well, but i personally think that he has a trademark woongki-style/vibe that he executes very well, but doesn't necessarily blend in with the rest of the group as seamlessly as i'd like. and i agree with you on shuaibo as well (pronounced shu-why-bo). i have the same issue with him as i do with woongki. of coure, these are just my preferences. at the end of the day, i'm rooting for all trainees; i'll always admire how passionately they're running towards their dreams 🙏 thank you for the reaction! super excited for ep 2 🌟

Plus I'm becoming a Cha Woongi fan with all the shows he's been on and somehow missed he was on this. Just binged the whole show in the last few days. Haha. Can't wait to see your reactions! Honestly you may want to watch performances on Youtube at some points in the show or if you are confused by how people reacted to it. As an editor I can definitely tell they hid or smoothed/corrected some of the borderline vocals in a few performances and sometimes they only followed "main" contestants so you couldn't really focus on the others. It was fun to watch just the episodes though too. The title track is only shown in snippets once the teams are all divided at the beginning. If you want to watch that performance you'll need to look it up on Youtube. There are also lyric videos up for some of the songs if you want to see how they translate further in the show..

2025-02-20 21:42:23 +0000 UTCAhhhh, JL. He actually did a dance cover of Jimin's Serendipity . He did pretty well considering that not many idols cover Jimin's work because of the complexity. I think his role models are the likes of Ten and Jimin. My other fave is Park Han.

Everything has been sorted out between him & woongki and they are besties now. And I’m with Team Beat till the end! Although my bias is Park Han from Team Groove😂

BY THE WAY, I WOULD SUGGEST REACTING TO THEIR TITLE SONG PERFORMANCE AFTER THE LINE UP HAS BEEN FINALIZED ON EPISODE 2 SINCE IT WILL NOT BE SHOWN ON THE SHOW AND IN MY OPINION, THIS SHOW'S TITLE TRACK PERFORMANCE IS ONE OF THE MORE UNIQUE ONES FROM A SURVIVAL SHOW. And Zhang Shuaibo is there too, he and Woongki had a bit of a problem while they were in Feel Special team but it seems like they don't have bad blood, it's all sorted out, cheering for each other but rather they show is trying to say Woongki and Kyungho from TO1 has beef! But ya I had my reservations about Shuaibo too coz I didn't like him in BP and I tried to watch him here objectively without past feelings. I think Woongki was in a BL drama also. Btw I think Zhang Shuaibo preliminary dance that they showed was Feel Special song, he did it again!!!! God him and his obsession with Feel Special! Kun was the special director for this episode or Pick round. He isn't gonna be in every episode. Ten and Yangyang are the permanent Team Rhythm directors. So that's why Park Ju won took only Ten and Yangyang's name I think coz they are the permanent mentors During the Love shot picks, Ten picked shuaibo and before he said the one he picked had star qaulity, knew where to look and all, and ya Ten can work on Shuaibo's skills. While for Beat Team, I think they have the resumes of the trainees with their picture. I don't know how similar they looked in the resume picture and in real life due to makeup and all, so I felt that Beat team got confused between the faces and wanted to pick someone else and by mistake picked Jihun. They were shocked to see his face on the monitor coz I think they were saying someone else had a handsome face. I maybe wrong but their reaction made me feel that way that they mistakenly picked someone they didn't want to. Changsub had great eye while choosing his members. And first time when I watched this show, i didn't know Jay Park was older than Changsub. When I saw him call Changsub by his name, I was shocked and had to go google their age real fast! Jay Park looks so young, even younger than how he looked in Peak Time I feel! Boomerang is by Wanna One. Siren group was my fav audition! They were great and as someone who loves dance Jiang Fan became my instant fav when I saw him dance. Woongki training his team members how to survive in a survival show. As expected of an experienced survival show trainee. It was cute. And about switching teams, even I was hoping for it to happen somehow and I was hoping for twists and switching players was the only thing I could think of in terms of twist and drama. I had hard time picking only one team to like coz I had members I liked in all groups and somehow wanted all of them to come together at the end..
