2024-10-06 03:26:59 +0000 UTCHe spoke about how the very first meeting for the album was in December last year, where he presented his own songs and they decided based on them and the kind of music he likes the general direction of the album. I feel like that meeting needed to be on Dec 1st, since he was in LA recording already on Dec 11th xD so the whole progress wasn't that long, because most songs seemed ready by April when he performed at the Seoul Jazz Festival. Smoke was probably the last song recorded, but that kinda seems like the form for SM xD Loved how involved he was and that he got the opportunity to really make it his own. It's great to hear his thoughts thru this documentary. The point he made about how he's the member mostly used for the close up/beauty shots in NCT MVs aka being the visual of the group and how he has so much more to offer than that made me almost emotional, because the fandom and non-listener love to reduce him to his visuals and don't see him as a vocalist/artist, which is such a darn shame really. But his solo really opened many eyes, along with the more singing-based variety content we got. We also got more indept behind-the-scenes over the last weeks, I'd especially recommend his recording of Smoke and the dance practice! The behinds for the MVs and highlight medley are also great (he did all the underwater scenes himself!), but those are probably a bit to much to watch on camera. I'm so glad he still gets to do a fan-con before entlisting! He always talked so regretfully about not knowing if he'll be able to have an concert of his own during fancalls, that seemed like something he really wanted to do. Even if his schedule in October is crazy and I've no idea how he's gonna rest while also preparing for a concert.

At first, it was not really on their plan to have vinyls (altho Jaehyun did suggest to it) but I guess due to demand, they finally decided to do it. I think the release will be sometime this late October iirc 😄 All my ults in military 😔 Kai is still in military and now Jaehyun is also going. 😭
