hi! just some clarification: if it’s about the 10:30 min mark, i didn’t say he was skating by with his dancing. i said his rapping, he kinda got by with it as he was really more of a dancer than a rapper back then. i only said this cause i don’t think he had rapping experience at all when he signed? correct me if i’m wrong tho. so getting by with it meant that he reached the level they required him to be at at the time but nowhere near as the level he is at now. “skating by with his dancing” i feel like meant more that they didn’t care about his rap quality at all just cause he danced well. which is not at all my intention to say so i have to clarify that as this can easily be spread to other platforms and i can get in trouble for words i didn’t say 🥺 further clarification: i made this comment because in that 3 month period he was with sm before debut, there’s no way someone would go from having no prior rap experience to being as good as he is now. if so, i don’t see why sm wouldn’t have utilized it since he was a big draw when they debuted him. i should have clarified that i was speaking about only at his debut time (make a wish era) since we’re watching their debut time now. i thought it was a proper referencing point. my bad i didn’t make that clear. with that in mind, yes i agree these idols work very hard but we have to reference the timeframe of the training period. realistically, 3 months would not have been enough for him to rap as flawlessly as he does now with no prior experience and with him being new to a language. if he did have prior rap experience at this level, then my apologies as i didn’t know. all in all, my main intention was only to compliment his hard work as it has seemingly paid off immensely. all love for shotaro here 😊
