From all Generation of YG Artists from first to third, rappers there marked their own name in the industry and are really well known. That's why they said they wanted to keep that legacy but they really feel the pressure. In fact, the lyrics of VolKno include paying homage to the rappers of YG.

Yes, they may release fewer songs than other labels but pretty much each group in YG has a limited amount of time to write and produce songs while attending other responsibilities such as schools, varieties, Training, Touring, Concerts etc. This may include conceptualizing, designing, creative ideas for stage and MVs rearranging songs, and sometimes choreo.

They have always had those heavy rock rap songs since 1tyme (Teddy’s) group which was YG ‘s first generation along with master wu, Jinu Sean, to bigbang and so on.. that’s why they were saying they really have to keep the legacy alive.
