Ha Sungwoon only became friend with Kai, Taemin later, here he didn't yet. He got introduced to this group of friends by Timoteo. If you have watched The Unit you probably remember Timoteo, he's also from Hotshot, he, Taemin and Kai are close friends when he still trained under SM

Many times when the translation says " Please vote for ME" or "Because I practiced a lot" and these kinds of phrases, that isn't exactly what they are saying. In the korean language, very often the subject is omitted in the sentence so people just say "because of a lot of practice" and "Please give many votes" and it's just the way that they translate it that makes it seem like they are only addressing themselves and not the whole team when, in reality, they aren't really specifying who it refers to and they're probably talking about the whole team.

2021-03-07 14:36:20 +0000 UTCTo explain the Moonbok situation, he was actually considered more of a "joke pick" in Korea (as sad as it may sound), and the people who were voting for him were either the Korean men who wanted to "screw up" the rankings (I think this is because of their dissatisfaction with IOI's Produce season), or the people who sympathized with his negative Superstar K experience. Basically a lot of commoners (non-idol fans) know who he is which explains his high ranking. 😅

2021-03-06 07:13:42 +0000 UTCThis is just a fun piece of info not related to your commentary, but the guy from the second 10 out of 10 team who did all the stunts, Byun Hyunmin, knew how to do them because he's from K-Tigers! K-Tigers isn't a normal entertainment company/record label, it's a taekwondance studio (taekwondo mixed with dance). They produce a lot of really amazing kpop covers that you'd probably enjoy for the tricks!

RN I'm enjoying YWY3 a bit more but I like the mentors on both shows and am interested in both. I do think Chuang is hard to follow sometimes even for a native speaker like me because they will cut to a new segment or just start showing practice clips at random.

The fact that my one-pick (Yoon Jisung) is on the team might make me a bit biased, but that stage is one of my personal favorites, and I almost never see people prefer them over team 2. 2021-03-05 19:15:56 +0000 UTCI wanted to comment this last week but forgot - apparently right before the level re-evaluation someone in class C had fainted, so the trainees (like Minhyun especially) weren't doing well before they had to perform for the re-evaluation :( Also, you asked about JIhoon (wink boy!) he's been releasing music, but he also is acting now You've cracked the code to survival show editing lol, first they have to show them not doing well first before the actual performance :P About the difference between now and the later seasons in terms of picking centre - there's a reason why it did evolve into that (in fact one of the trainers explicitly addressed that during X 101 as well lol), watching how S2 evolves in this aspect and many others is definitely interesting.
