In Gigantic Beast's previous DnD campaign he played the class of Goliath and rolled a glitched number of which his Dungeon Master clearly stated you get what you roll. I think 2,300 pounds of muscle being classed as "medium sized" 8 ft tall is pretty darn lucky.
A lot of his interactions involved demolishing armies of men. His past is a flawless war run among titans. He loses his hand to a tree falling on it, and is bestowed a magic gauntlet in its place. (I personally add that depending on his magic it can transform into different materials or weapons, even a huge hairy fist)
