2022-10-15 18:37:02 +0000 UTCif you didnt figure it out, that was the ocean spirit, not the moon spirit that aang fused with. zhao killed the moon spirit, so it was completely gone in that moment (until yue took its place). so the ocean was angry that zhao killed the moon (his "partner") so he fused with aang to wreak some havoc and get revenge also worth noting: it is mentioned that the moon and ocean spirits are "push and pull" and notice that the ocean spirit in the absence of the moon only ever "pushed" the water when attacking the fire nation
