shot on christmas day in malibu at the adamson house, about a week before the palisades fire tore through the coast line and stopped just after the pier was destroyed. i am grateful this historical landmark is still standing but emotional about the loss of such a beautiful natural area.

we originally scouted this location to shoot a water concept, submerged in a pond: but when we arrived at the area, there were posted signs all around the lake that there was quicksand and swimming was forbidden. it felt very “princess pride” in that moment. we chose to still utilize the surrounding trees and foliage in the area to capture a sense of whimsy. i’m grateful there was a breeze to aid the dancing movement between the branc...
