Thanks for doing this - it was a pleasant way to rewatch the last season after seeing it in real time. I hope that now you're not worried about being spoiled, you've gone and read some of the interviews with Peter Gould, Bob Odenkirk, and Rhea Seehorn, among others, about what they thought was going on in the ending. My impression is that you're wrong that Kim is actually lawyering again or back in Albequerque. I think she's still out serving her penance in Florida, but hopefully without the boyfriend (he wasn't her husband) and definitely while continuing to volunteer at the legal aid clinic - I don't think she's undone her sense she doesn't deserve to be a lawyer, but I think it's huge that she's come back to feeling like she could do good in the world. And in the long run, who knows? Rhea says some interesting things about what her relationship with Jimmy might be over the years. But that's only an actor's speculation - that scene also could have been their goodbye. Anyway, agreed that the show ends pretty much perfectly. The first time I thought the prison bus "Better Call Saul" chant was a bit much, but it didn't bother me this time. And certainly Jimmy/Saul is savvy enough to deal with prison. I'd like to think he gets out before he dies.
