Hey guys!
Whenever I feel an overwhelming writer's block, I always try to write something for fun. That has resulted in quite a few little scenes that have little relevance to No North itself, but to the character's backgrounds.
Have you ever been mistaken for a foreigner in your own town?
That happened a lot to Steban when it came to Mrs. Edna. It didn't help that he actually felt like one 24/7 back at his hometown. Steban wanted to be a traveling musician and to see the world, but his father didn't approve of it. Forced into a job he didn't like and under a very strict and mean-spirited boss, Steban felt as trapped as ever. All of his puppyhood friends left town and were chasing their dreams, and he remained there, left behind. Theo always supported and comforted him, even though he thought his older brother exaggerated, and that things were perfectly good as they were. His love helped Steban, but he still felt like life was passing him by. Mrs. Edna's comments had a big impact on him, even thought she's clueless to the effects of her words. Or is she?...
Shortly after this, Steban got into a heated moment with his boss and got kicked out of the cantina for good (Martin style!). Desperate to hide it from his father, he started doing the only thing he knew how to: playing the guitar and the harmonica in the streets for money, hiding the fact that he had lost his job. He actually had an incredible time doing this, and for the first time he interacted with other dogs in his own element. It felt amazing, until... He was spotted by a neighbour.
I'm gonna leave it at that. Hahaha!
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this!
Have an amazing day!
