This time, I started by drawing characters into the cafeteria backgrounds I sketched last week. Not all the characters were fitting neatly into the second background, so I had to rearrange things a bit, for example moving Iris into a baby walker to get a better composition. It’s fun to do, but incredibly time-consuming, you wouldn’t believe. I was happy when I finally saw the end of it! Regarding work in the game engine, I continued integrating the next scenes, it's lunch time! After a short scene, June can move around for a bit and head to the cafeteria (Screenshot 1). I also added interactions with each character in the cafeteria. Some girls (like Maddie) are not particularly thrilled to be there (but she is not trhilled about being anywhere in the Hive, is she?), while others are perfectly fine with the whole thing (Screenshots 2 and 3). Personalias suggested adding secret scenes if you click on certain items enough times, wearing down the teachers’ patience, and I really loved the idea. I’ve started working on the first one featuring Ms. Sharpe. Annoy her too much at your own risk! (Screenshot 4) And that’s about it! Next week, I plan to work on more of the lunch scenes. I’m hoping to have the demo ready by mid-December!
