Considering Changes Poll

Recent events on my public facing art accounts have motivated me to consider moving the greater majority of my artwork to Patreon and other paid services.  If this were to happen, I would post an image or two as teasers every week onto public accounts, and I would link my Patreon connected to those teasers.  The benefits of this would be:

-I would most likely be able to get more tier 1 patrons who just want to see my regular commissions gallery and everyday content.

-I would be safer from stalkers who use my public uploads to figure out who my mutuals are

-It would probably be easier for me to meet my financial goals every month

-I would have to spend less time setting up an upload schedule across multiple platforms.  The detriments would be:

-I would appear less active on public facing accounts, with the exception of streaming

-I wouldn't be giving my general nonpaying audience as much content as I like to

-I'd seem like a sellout and a coward for making a selfish choice to go to majority paid content over the issues I have with public stuff.

Thank you, that's comforting

Do what is best for yourself. You don't owe people the free content at the cost of yourself. The majority of people that would call you a sellout or selfish, are people that don't understand the reality of self employed art. And most are likely going to be people that already wouldn't have been contributing. (I say this as someone who used to be in that group, thinking pay walling content was selling out, but has learned better in the years since)
