He's a little insane and Basil the hacker-ish geek is his only friend and support. His (i still don't know what to name it) that device-Pip Boy-like thing on his arm can check his condition, stimulate the process, heal him a little, give an adrenaline boost, and so on. Basil is connected to that device and can do some stuff through it and check Helsing's condition.
