Like many of her time, Hearth married young, dedicating herself to raising children and ensuring they always had cooked meals and a guide. But when her husband suffered an accident on the farm, his once-avoidable injuries became life-crippling due to the village’s poor medical care. Forced to become the family’s sole provider, Hearth did everything she could to support them, but soon, she felt the limits of her strength.

Just as despair crept in, one of her children brought news of a rare opportunity, one that came directly from the throne.

The offer was simple yet life-changing: serve herself as a guard for the newly built castle and its dungeons in exchange for unlimited support. Her family would be well-kept, protected, and fed until their final days.

She found baking to be a comforting joy. Though her body often ached from relentless labor, Hearth disliked idleness and silence more than anything.

Strength & Weaknesses
Hearth was taller and larger than most, allowing her to take on a stallion’s work and making her seem less fragile than others. But for this very reason, she was never truly accepted by the other mares. Isolated by her peers and with an ill husband at home, Hearth found herself with no support system, carrying the weight of her burdens alone.

Personality & Value
Hearth is a loving, giving mare with an overwhelming sense of responsibility and strong maternal instincts. She values accountability over everything.

🎯Episode Concepts
Gift of Sunshine
After passing the initial physical requirements, Hearth, her husband, and their nine foals were escorted to the kingdom, where Her Majesty sat in regal command. With a final word of courage and gratitude from the princess herself, she bid Hearth and the others farewell as they were escorted to the center of the castle.

Under the watchful eye of the throne’s personal wizard, Hearth underwent a year of training, all while witnessing her family thrive under the promised care. It felt like a dream, too good to be true. All seemed perfectly orchestrated until the day she was presented with a strange set of iron armor…

• Hearth Roll (oc) came a long while after the creation of Stone Guard (oc).

• I will never design all nine of her damn kids + husband that's craaaazy.

• Her kids and husband taken care of as promised.... Till their very last.

• Her family was 'sacrificed' soon after she was sealed away. (like others)

• The Stone Guard service was the first time she saw the princess.

• She likes sourdough! Nom nom nom!

📝Creators Notes
I'm glad I decided to develop Stone Guard's story a little deeper rather than just leave her as is! I really enjoyed making Hearth Roll, I think it makes the story a whole lot sadder- heeheehee

She's probably my first young mom character! A milf still in her young 20s, how rare!
