Tackling Larger Sizes
Added 2023-06-02 18:27:53 +0000 UTCFirst of all, thanks for all the support! Didn't expect Queen of Cock to get this popular, but I'm very happy that there's so much participation!
This has, however, revealed a flaw in my calculations. I had severely underestimated how many Doubles would be thrown in here, which means that we burst through the universe in the first round (I expected this to happen, but not until the end!). This has created two problems: A) How to carry over size from match to match, and B) how to retain a sensible way to compare sizes.
A)
I initially planned to increase the size gained in every tier and carry over the end result to the next match by simple addition. However, I realized that we have a problem; for a giga-hung waifu, the size gained in tier 2 may be so small next to her universe-dwarfing length that it might as well be a rounding error. This would be *fair*, but boring, since she'd effectively remain static.
The only way I saw to fix this is to gather up all the 'base' size from votes and then double that up by the exponentials; in this sense, we keep the votes and the Doubles seperate and add them together from every tier. In this way, votes still have an impact; by increasing their magnitude (ie. from +10 to +10000) they will be meaningful, though exponential doubles are still king—a lesson for next time to stick to a smaller multiplier, but I won't change the rules midway. Resetting sizes at the start of each match would also be a way to solve the problem, but would be unfair since I already established that size would be carried over.
B)
Much as I love insane size and numbers, we need something more meaningful for comparisons. I don't subscribe to the 'continually larger multiverses' naming convention, so I need to bring it back to a scale where I better compare the waifus against each other and the world around them. My best idea is to compress the sizes with a logarithm; a log2 transformation seems most fitting. This will mean that the waifu's outward size will be compressed with a base of 1 meter, and every 1 meter that they grow bigger, they've effectively doubled their true size.
I plan to include flashes of their true size in the matches, but I think I can swing this in a satisfying manner. Wish me luck!
If you have any comments or suggestions about how otherwise to handle this, I'll be happy to take them.

As explained above, I don't think that's an option at the moment. Or at least, the donations must at least carry over. I suppose I can still consider that.

2023-06-02 20:07:08 +0000 UTCLike I said, I never planned on multiplying any of the 'carry over' size. It's just that I only now realized that it'll surely be a boring round if Widow or Rena don't grow at all during it, right? Which will be the case if I simply add things together. This way, things will still compound (and true, it will take a lot of effort to catch up to doublings), but growth during a round is still guaranteed. And still I'm doing the log2 transform it scales things back. There's still time to consider, though. That's why I wanted to get some feedback. Letting size compound instead of resetting was always going to make some things unequal, but that's alright I think. It's just that things have been skewed more than I anticipated!

2023-06-02 20:01:00 +0000 UTCI was wondering how you planned out the math. Any size added before calculating the doublings drastically affects the final size, for example.

2023-06-02 19:33:45 +0000 UTCWell, I making the votes successively more potent (going from +2 per vote in tier 1 to +2000 in tier 2) does give them way more importance, but the doublings remain the key. In a way, size carrying over *is* kind of fun like that, but it will never be balanced here. I think it's just a lesson to take down and run with it for now. There's a lot of votes with here with doubling power, so it's not like anyone is beyond reach.

2023-06-02 18:48:27 +0000 UTCYeah that's fair, I just can't think of another way to really enforce any balance when the numbers have gotten so crazy right off the bat
2023-06-02 18:44:31 +0000 UTCI've considered it, but the problem is precisely that this will *not* make things fair when there's donations at play. If that wasn't the case, I probably would have chosen that path, but I don't consider it an option now.
