Had to come back and watch this again. Robert Rodriguez was just on the Joe Rogan Podcast talking about making this... Tarantino wrote this script before Pulp Fiction and Hollywood didn't like that it was basically two different movies. Was it a heist movie, or a vampire movie? Studios didn't know how to sell it so they passed.
After the success of Pulp Fiction they bought everything that Tarantino had touched.

I know you are a Star Trek Voyager and I can't believe you did not catch this. The opening scene of Dusk Till Dawn was filmed in Lancaster, California. This is the same location where Q and Q brought Captain Janeway and Tuvok inside the Q Contunuum in the episode "Death Wish". Also Cheech playing three different hilarious

the second half of this film was crazy! completely ridiculous. apparently there are sequels?!? apparently Tarantino wrote this one, and is executive producer for a sequel...there's a third that was straight-to-video but i don't think Tarantino had anything to do with it...there was also apparently a netflix series...not sure where you'd find it now...looks like it got removed at some point. can't believe there's so much of this franchise.

MrLBoyd, I'm proud of you. Showing some real growth here. Your tolerance of the nudity portrayed in this film was honestly unexpected. Not a shot at you, genuinely pleasantly surprised.

Nothing missed. They took half the movie getting to Mexico. Going in blind, it looks like a killing spree kidnap movie, that would probably end in a cop shootout. Having seen no trailers, you should be shocked by what you just encountered.

Annnd we're done!!Wow , that was even more fun than I had hoped! You nailed it Sir. And yeah , sorta confusing an action/crime movie that turns all vampire horror. Quentin and Robert got together again years later and did the film Grindhouse. They set it up like an old 42nd Street double feature. You should give that one a watch. Thanks for this unexpected bit of fun tonight Sir! I needed it. See ya all for Spider-Man 3 tomorrow. Peace

One of my favorite films ever. This was co-written by Tarantino and the head of a popular SFX comany (thus half feeling like a Tarantino crime film, and half feeling like a b horror movie) this company hired Tarantino to write the script in exchange for providing makeup and effects for his first movie: Resevoir Dogs.

Well this was outa left field Sir! I saw it once in the theater , but 3 times at the Drive-In when it came out. (The DI was the BEST way!)Some damn great practical FX , cheesy dialogue , Quinton and his foot fetish , and being a TOTAL scum bag.(I always hope Chris Hanson will pop up and tell him to "Have a seat." lol) And some great cameos from genre folk as well. This should be a blast to see! Checklist Time - Fatty's rolled and ready - Check - Beer freezer cold - Check - Smokes and Zippo - Check. Lets go to The Titty Twister!! ( La Tetilla del Diablo) Peace

Honestly , I gotta go with the original B&W 1962 film. (But , only about 5 people have reacted to the original , so I don't expect it.) If you are a fan of the film , I recommend the book it was based on , The Executioners by

Seeing Juliette Lewis reminded me- Cape Fear (91) would be an awesome movie for you to react to, Mr. L. Boyd, some day down the line.

That lost and confused, not knowing how to categorize a movie, feeling you've got when you finished this? that's the tell tale sign of a real gem of a movie.

Tarantino wanted the watcher to experience what the characters in a vampire movie would experience so he wrote it to be a good movie on its own merit even without the vampire aspect then the audience gets the shock of the vampires from nowhere. It was supposed to surprise you just like it did the characters.

Yassss one of my all time favourites, proper manly action with vampires and the Salma Hayek famous dance added in.. don’t think there’s been anyone hotter in a movie tbh 😍 my lord 😰 this was in my list of films you need to watch.

Bro, I had such a great time watching you when everything turned on a dime. Also, I wouldn't classify this one as a Tarantino movie per se. While he did write the screenplay, he didn't direct this one.

This was one of the best bangers when we were elementary school kids. We preferred Rodriguez then, it's Tarantino now ofc., but I still enjoy Robert's flicks, i's so fun to watch.

I’m going to fast forward to the part where Quentin Tarantino has Salma Hayek’s foot in his mouth to see your reaction…It didn’t disappoint.
