Weekly Update: Feb 26, 2021

Let me start this post by saying that I’m no hardware expert. I know more than I did when I started this journey, but still...

With that out of the way, we had a massive breakthrough this week that has dramatically decreased render times by as much as 60 to 70 percent. What was this breakthrough? Well, I’m almost embarrassed to say, but it was as simple as increasing the GPU and CPU fan speeds while rendering. 

It really is that simple and obvious. GPUs get quite hot when they’re running above 90%, but it seems increasing fan speeds by just a few thousand rpm can really improve efficiency. And, I don't even need to overclock the GPU, which is good, because this thing was rather expensive, and I'd like it last.

What does this mean for you guys? It should mean more frequent sets, but how much more remains to be seen. None-the-less, it’s an exciting development.

Feature Set #9 (Title TBD)

Status: Nothing new to report here, just continuing with posing and rendering.

Starring: Ivy, Meredith, Freya, Aaron

Setting: Las Vegas penthouse

Plot: Ivy and two friends rent a Vegas penthouse for a bachelorette party. Male stripper Aaron shows up to get the party going.

Gym Scene

Status: Posing and rendering.

Starring: Imogen, Hathai, Takeshi

Setting: Gym

Plot: Workout partners, Imogen and Hathai, encounter Takeshi in a late-night gym session.

Public Exposure

Status: Posing and rendering (anyone seeing a theme for this post?). One unique thing about this set is that our usual stars will be doing their thing against a backdrop of everyday folks. We always intended the Taziota universe to be grounded in the real world, so this provides an opportunity to see that contrast.

Starring: Abigail, Darcie, Tyler

Setting: City Center

Plot: Let’s play a game. Abigail plays a dominatrix who blindfolds and drives Darcie and Tyler to a surprise location, where they agree to have sex. The catch? The undisclosed location is a downtown street corner in broad daylight!
