This takes place in present day. Dennis Quaid was on a smart phone in the bathroom scene. I think it was meant to pay homage to the 80s though. Not completely sure.

2025-01-03 18:19:35 +0000 UTCIt seemed like the concept of this movie was taken originally from two episodes of Tales from the Crypt. "Only Sin Deep" and "The Switch." Although the bizarre characters and color aesthetics made it quite different. Just a bizarre, bizarre movie. And yes, Dennis Quaid is gross in this movie. lol

2024-12-31 01:45:53 +0000 UTCHmmm I am not sure what year this takes place in as it feels 80s but it also feels modern and like the early 2000s. I was thinking they're trying to do what the Incredibles did. Like the mixture of 60s with modern day technology, sort of an alterative universe where internet doesn't really exist? But its like present day that's just my theory though.
