I mean I didn't think it was horrible but I also didn't find it as entertaining as Alien or Aliens. Alien felt to me like the beginning of Alien goth horror. It introduced us to this mysterious world that, up until 1979, we never knew existed. We didn't know what to expect. Things weren't predictable. That's why I try to tell people you HAVE to see Alien BEFORE Aliens.
Aliens could have been predictable as a sequel, but instead it took the story in a completely different direction and made us literally jump up out of our seats with excitement. Nonstop excitement from beginning to end.
I suspect the reason that most people are stoked for Romulus is because it takes place between the events of Alien and Aliens.

I’m watching this now and I’m sooooo glad you loved this one! The first freakout over the Walter/David (maybe) swap and then the reveal freakout was soooo good. You were so close to catching it! 😂
