Nangalore (50x60)

It is finally complete: Nangalore. 

The map in the book is a little weird as it doesn't always follow the descriptions in the box text, so I've decided to follow the box text.

This was a hefty inkarnate file... perhaps my largest. If my maths is right, something like 7871 objects (before it got imported into Photoshop where I added all the custom bits and pieces).

Foundry VTT Omu map pack

Great news everyone. The Foundry VTT map pack "Tor's Omu" has been approved and is now live on Foundry's service. It was put together by Friend of the Emporium, the kind and generous Grimmash, whose built all my Foundry content, notably the Tomb of the Nine Gods.

Wongo Shrine Mask correction + bonus masks

A tile overlay pack for the the Wongo Shrine. It swaps the location of the vulture and zebra masks from my first map (which was incorrectly positioned). I've also included a "no mask tile" so you can overlay whatever animals masks you want in whatever position.

There are 8 animal masks in total: Feline, Porcine, Equine, Avian, Formicine (ant-like), Ranine (Frog-like), Serpentine, Simian.

Destroyed Obelisk (tile overlay)

An 8x8 tile for the entrance to the Tomb of the Nine Gods, in the unfortunate event the players destroy/topple over/attack the Black Obelisk containing the Nalfeshnee demon.

At the first crack in the obsidian, have the Obelisk explode outward releasing the demon's aura which immediately kills the nearby vegetation, emitting an ungodly odour of burnt bodies and sweet rotting flesh... or... old cheese and sweaty socks. ;)

I use Midjourney. Not for every little thing on this Patreon, but where it makes sense to do so, I do. I understand that this may not be to everyone's tastes — and well, you're free to obviously not use my stuff. While it is still legal to do so, I will continue paying them to use their AI.

OGL Controversy over

Grimmash and I were waiting on developing any D&D map modules for Foundry while WOTC was considering clamping down on creator's freedoms. Little point in doing hours of work to only have it pulled off the VTT a week later. Happily, that future has not come to pass with WOTC's announcement on Friday of putting the SRD 5.1 into Creative Commons, leaving the OGL1.0a as is and importantly leaving other VTTS well alone.

The Fane of the Night Serpent

Ras Nsi's lair in Omu, filled to the brim with things that slither and slurp, slink and slaughter. Whether the heroes have an audience with Ras Nsi by invitation, or whether captured and kept with the slaves... the Fane is a very dangerous place.

A fallen tree lies conveniently across a fast moving river, the perfect spot for an ambush. You can choose to have the upper foliage as a transparent png roof layer if you so desire, of just use the regular map.

Poll: AI-generated art in my content?

Happy New Year!

The first year of my fledgling Patreon is in the bag. I found, lost and re-found my creative rhythm. Needle's Bones

"A wide sinkhole yawns before you..."

Needle's Bones is a location in Tomb of Annihilation (pg 80). While I've seen many maps for this location, most seemingly disregard the encounter description which includes a 90' wide and 30' deep sinkhole, hundreds of goblin bones littered around the edge and a half submerged, vine, moss and lichen covered skeleton of the Adult Green dragon Ormalagos choked by a sea of lily pads (you will have to add your own frogs though). ;)

Secret door operation: The doors are pushed against, back into their respective snake statue chambers, and once they've gone as far as they can go, can then be pulled on runners built into the wall revealing a 2.5ft gap that a medium-sized creature can squeeze through. The doors can be closed by reversing the operation; pulling laterally closed and then using hidden finger holes to pull the door back flush in line...
