I wanted to wait to say this until the next episode was posted to avoid spoilers but the Butcher's reveal is supposed to be a terrifying more significant moment, so of course they were saving it for a later time ;)
also you can see the same girl from that scene with Diana more clearly in the very first shot of ep.7, she's wearing a white bonnet and cape just like Priscilla

i agree i actually really liked it people just have really bad negative recency bias with this show and compare it too harshly the only season i think was actually bad and not worth a watch was the death valley half of double feature

I am so happy you had this reaction! 😄 This was probably the ballsiest season, and I loved how they did it. Glad you do too!

It's harsh to say but it's also because a very large bit of AHS audience only cared about the sassiness and the typical Ryan Murphy antics so when the show actually went towards something more serious but equally (if not more) interesting they turned their backs to the meta stuff. Which is a shame because Roanoke is more horror than many other seasons and that's exactly what the show needed.

It would be appreciated if you took this down as it is not relevant to the current season. Please respect Dan’s wishes & don’t spoil details about seasons he hasn’t seen yet. -Mod

I love evan Peters being the first to go because he was filming the X-men movies. So the screen test call was kind of meta.

I feel like everyone was excited for delicate then the first half was slow and then they do that thing where they film in two parts and no one cared by the time the second half came out. :(

Delicate was a good 4 out of 10 .. compared to hotel etc.. this show had burnt it self to the ground :(

Delicate actually really grabbed my attention in the second half much like this season. I see them as being on the same level.

So Now Priscilla is a overweight middle aged grown woman ?😂😂😂😂 Go watch that scene again but this time pause the video and pay attention at the body shape, Height and her hair color, last time I checked Priscilla was described to be a blonde child age from age 8 to 10 years old

This season is so underrated and I feel like fans didn’t like it when it first aired because it was so different from the others but I love how unique it is & that people seem to appreciate it more now💕 also the scares in Roanoke are some of the most effective in the whole show even if the season itself isn’t in my top 3 favs. This ep was prob one of the best though & I love that Angela Bassett directed it!

“Fiery and pathetic. That’s exactly how I played her” 😂
Oh, we are finally here! The change from a documentary format to a campy reality tv/found footage
I think Audrey Tindall is my favorite character from AHS (my favorite Sarah Paulson for sure). She’s so funny! Agnes is also great
The “real” versions of Shelby and Lee being “free” from the interview aspect of the documentary really make the characters shine in a different light. I like both of them so much more this way.
Also, Sidney is a deligthful a-hole that I love to watch (he reminds me so much the producers of the tv show UnREAL)

You actually did saw the actual real ghost of the butcher in the show in a scene where Diana quit and left the production in a car and as she was driving through the woods she stops the car and show us on a phone camera the glimpse of a middle aged overweight woman in a pilgrim clothing with a cleaver in her hand was the actual real Butcher and then Diana turns her camera towards her and says “I have no intention of finding out who that is” and as Diana starts to drive off she instantly gets killed by the real ghost of a piggyman.

I LOVE the use of Evan Peters this season. By this point we associate him with AHS and he’s listed as a main cast member so for the first 4 episodes you’re like “Where is he, where is he?” only for him to show up as a “guest actor” in episode 5. And then the back half of this season starts, we meet the “real” him and you’re like “Okay cool he’s going to be important from here on” and then he’s the first one to go. It’s hilarious.
