I didn't think Cercei was being sincere when speaking to Margaery. I felt that she is planning to kill Margaery but wants everyone to witness how nice she's being to her so no one will suspect her. You know that if they were speaking in private, Cersei would've been brutally honest. And I'm sure Cersei realizes that Margaery had something to do with Tommen constantly asking Cersei if she'd be happier somewhere else.

It’s really obvious when u see tyrion looking down and then immediately changing his mind but I’ve seen a clip of peter talking abt this scene.

The guy Jon killed also helped betray Ned in season one so Jon probably had some need for revenge in him as well for doing what he did.

I’ve been waiting for Janos Slynt’s death since he killed that baby – good riddance! 😂 Edit: for me, the difference between this execution and Dany’s in the last episode is about character type. Dany has mostly shown that she’s capable of doling out harsh punishments, her thing now is needing to show more restraint/mercy. Jon on the other hand has mostly shown the opposite, so he needs to prove to the men following him that he can be harsh when necessary.

“Needle was Robb and Bran and Rickon, her mother and her father, even Sansa. Needle was Winterfell's grey walls, and the laughter of its people. Needle was the summer snows, Old Nan's stories, the heart tree with its red leaves and scary face, the warm earthy smell of the glass gardens, the sound of the north wind rattling the shutters of her room. Needle was Jon Snow's smile. He used to mess my hair and call me "little sister," she remembered, and suddenly there were tears in her eyes.” – Arya’s thoughts when she tried to throw Needle away, perfectly captured with Maisie Williams’ acting

I think there was a level of sincerity from Cersei to Margaery in that scene. She’s just realised that Margaery has Tommen in her grasps and he’s very much easily manipulated by her, maybe more so than he is by Cersei (per him trying to get her to return to Casterly Rock).
