Perspective Shift - Story Update

I spent today writing out that section. It'll be 10 pages. I also sketched out the next five pages in rough form, so I should be able to crank through them pretty quickly.
As I was writing these pages, I realized that this really is the right thing to do. I was afraid of dropping a major plot point and then frustrating readers by immediately pivoting back to sex. But doing it this way fixes a few pacing problems I had before and solves one major problem I wasn't happy with. I was also able to work in some fun world building and some character development for Quentin that will become important later. It actually ties in really nicely with something else 20 pages from now. I think this makes the overall story a lot stronger even if it does take a bit longer to get there.

I'm looking forward to seeing what new things Quentin 'learns'. Personally, I hope he becomes more and more excited. Reflected by expanding bawlz filling with increasingly more cream. Until his big breakthrough. ;)

It’s lovely when one is in the midst of it and then there’s just this EUREKA MOMENT of “oh, wait, this helps _____ later on!” It’s like the pieces of the puzzle finally falling into place. Kudos~! 💙
