**sorry about my deleted comment above, i realized i added some unnecessary details that i shouldn't have** WOW! Ok, i've gotta let you know this now before you continue anymore newer reactions - now i realize i'm only new here, but being an incredible movie fan myself, i feel like i've got an obligation here - AMC seems to be only showcasing the original theatrical versions of these movies you're choosing to watch on that service. In this case, this version of T2 you're viewing is approx 20 - 25 mins shorter than the version everyone in the world else has seen. Back in the 1990's, an extended version of the film was released and has since been viewed as the only official version of the film that should be watched, ignoring all other versions. The extended version includes MUCH needed context to certain situations, aswel as MANY more added scenes which add on character development that in this version, makes no sense, when i saw this version back when i was a kid, i was so confused when the T-1000 did that shimmering thing it does when they reached the steel mill. In the extended version, they answer the question as to why. That and tons more that will no doubt answer many questions you had by the end of this version of the movie. I noticed this error when characters in the film censored the sentences "that's it, goddamnit", and "i've had it with that goddamn kid". Please watch the extended version of the movie, i promise you, you'll enjoy it even more than this version. You can find it pretty much anywhere online, even the standard blu-ray comes with the extended directors cut as it's default version of the movie to watch.

I've heard, I usually watch the original version of how it was released first and then check out the other editions afterwards if they are recommended by many

Dude, you've got to watch the Director's Cut of this. It's so much better, they don't censor it either.
