Rahm Kota's Collapsing Lightsaber
Added 2025-02-18 01:21:39 +0000 UTCThis is a multi-part design where the hilt is split into different stl's so it can be printed in full color with a single color printer. The cap screws on so the blades can be printed separately in different colors and inserted or replaced.
There is two versions of the grip, one version has built in supports and is designed to be printed at a .2mm layer height.
For best results use a .4mm nozzle. You can print the blades all at once concentrically or one at a time in vase mode. I suggest printing in vase mode but if printing concentrically, the test print can be found here. Find detailed instructions on how to print collapsing swords on my website.

The blades can get stuck sometimes. I normally just place the pommel on a table then smack the blades back in. As long as your force stays perpendicular to the blade, they always go back in. Then try not to fling it out so quickly, I know its hard. lol I also print at .25mm layer heights, not sure if that helps or makes it worse.
