I want to be more deliberate in how I use colors (and how they're actually rendered), so I've spent the last 3 days practicing just that! Even though 90% my anims gravitate towards darker color schemes, I do enjoy going crazy on vibrant colors too.
The other thing I wanted to try was to make the scenery more busy than usual, while keeping the center of attention simpler. It's the opposite of what you'd normally expect (detailed subject and simple background), but the effect IN THEORY should be the same - your eyes are naturally guided to rest on the image's center of attention.

Also, I've had an abandoned project that used pasties for months now and it bothered the hell out of me that I never released anything with them.
