Here's how to pledge at Kickstarter as a US/UK member
You ONLY need to support the Kickstarter campaign if you want more than one copy of Hyperstar Run, or will switch it out when it is the Featured Wallet in the club package.
For this campaign, we will NOT be using a pledge manager for US or UK backers. You will need to calculate the amount to pledge based on the reward you wish to receive.
Choose the $1 Board Game of the Month Club Members reward level and adjust your pledge amount by adding bonus support. Find the reward level that you would like in the table below, then add the cost of shipping and subtract the discount for your patron level to find out how much to pledge.
Here's how to pledge at Kickstarter as an INTERNATIONAL member (not US/UK)
You ONLY need to support the Kickstarter campaign if you want more than one copy of Hyperstar Run, or will switch it out when it is the Featured Wallet in the club package.
For this campaign we will be using Gamefound’s Pledge Manager again. Simply pledge for Hyperstar Run (for International Backers) $12 reward, do NOT use the Board Game of the Month Club Members reward. Choose any add-on content you wish to include with your pledge, and you’re all set. You will be able to upgrade to a higher reward level in the pledge manager if you wish to.
Shipping will be collected in the Pledge Manager, and your club discount will be added using your email address to link your Kickstarter and Patreon support. The items pledged for at Kickstarter will be transferred to your cart in the Pledge Manager and you will be able to finalize the content of your reward there, adding any games from the Button Shy catalog and making an additional payment for content and shipping if required.
When the Pledge Manager opens, if you do not see the credit, we will be able to update it manually; this will most likely happen if your Kickstarter name and email address is different to your Patreon name and email address. Please email buttonshyhelp@gmail.com when the pledge manager opens if you need us to apply the credit to a different Gamefound account.

Master the final level by using your button cards to get past the dangerous enemies lurking in the Hyperstar base. As you advance, you’ll be able to access more button presses and set up powerful combos that extend across multiple cards. Complete each card in the level successfully to beat the game. If all you want is the new A Nice Cuppa expansions then yes it's cheaper to order through the website...at Kickstarter the shipping will be a minimum of $17 to Canada, $20 to EU and $21 anywhere else as all packages are tracked. We can ship these as untracked letters for about $3 (shipping is included in the item price at the website).

I'm new to the club and I'm sure it will make more sense after a few months but for now I'm floundering a bit (also, the International wrinkle makes things less clear).

Starting if Feb since that seems to be your first package, you will receive 7 Mysticana expansions, one each month. The first 4 were Cave of Djinns, Arcane Artifacts, Wild Magic, and Harbingers for 2025 and Jan had Curse of Dragons. You can get the missing expansions later when thy hit the BS store.

We know it's a little funky getting expansions for games you don't own, or one or two expansions in a set of three, that are later offered only as a full expansion collection. This improves as your membership period increases so shouldn't last more than a few months. It's also worth checking out the preview post for the following month to pick the best time to join to avoid any duplication - being a free member should notify you when those posts are made.

2025-01-08 12:02:25 +0000 UTC@Zachary: there is unfortunately sometimes a little weirdness and overlap with some expansions at the start of a club membership, since expansions are often released over time and then collected in a wallet. Worth noting though that some of those expansions have come to the club previously, and that's only the case because of when your join date happens to be. You won't have this problem going forward with expansions that release for future games. And in addition, worth noting that not every game comes to Kickstarter - Super Slopes itself was originally released through the club with no crowdfunding campaign. I think maybe I'd recommend a free membership at Patreon for now. That way you can still be notified each month of what's happening, get a feeling for how it works, and judge if it makes sense for you.

2025-01-08 08:33:29 +0000 UTC@Sharn: I think you got your answer in the Discord, but just in case: when it comes to Kickstarters, there is always a section right at the top of the post that lists what's coming to the club and what isn't. In this case, the new expansions for A Nice Cuppa will come separately, and will need to be bought from the website. If you have the existing two, you can buy a back that matches the add-on pack, with the new two and an empty wallet. If you don't have any, you can wait and buy the full expansion collection when it releases.

For example, I see one Super Slopes expansion for the January offering, but I’d like all the expansions so I would probably want to buy the collection currently available for preorder. So what value will I be getting from the club if it makes more sense for what I want if I’m double buying? Trying to reserve judgement until I see the actual process, but I hope the offerings aren’t just pieces of a bigger collection that I’ll need to “double buy” if I want the whole collection.

If you don't want the game for that month, you just fill out the form linked in that post that says what you want instead. Make sure you're set up to get notified for new Patreon posts though, as they aren't announced elsewhere.

2025-01-08 00:24:35 +0000 UTCIf you know you want this game and you want to be in the club, the most convenient thing is to just sign up to the club and not the Kickstarter. There's a little nuance sometimes (for example, the A Nice Cuppa expansions available in the campaign but not at the club, detailed in the post), but just joining the club will guarantee no duplicates. However, there's a system to deal with those who backed the campaign and joined the club: the month that Hyperstar Run is due, you'll be able to swap the game you get through the club to something from the back catalogue instead, through a post that's made shortly before shipping.
