Demanding jobs, unpaid bills, health concerns: modern life is filled with constant worry. Let your burdens drift away, if only for a moment, in the rich aromatic steam of your favorite tea.
A Nice Cuppa is the latest entry in Button Shy’s Simply Solo series. Designed by Scott Almes, the game tasks the player with managing worries through careful card management across 8 turns. As worries are revealed, they complicate your life and force you to become distracted. Focus on your tea to eliminate those pesky problems and soothe your shattered nerves. Once your tea is ready, evaluate how you did.

Few things pair together as nicely as a warm cup of tea and a good book. Let the worries of the world go as you settle in for a nice relaxing read.

This 5-card expansion adds 2 new Tea cards and 3 new Worries to manage. Use a full set of 9 Tea Cards (and correspondingly 9 Worries) to play through a longer, more challenging game. Can you pay attention to both your tea and book through a full 10 turns?

Every season seems to bring a new challenge that complicates your normal routine. Addressing it head-on may help you feel better, as long as you don't ignore your other concerns!
This 4-card expansion introduces unique Stress cards. Add one random Stress card above your Tea line at the start of the game. Should you complete the card’s requirement, such as having 4 Distracted Tea cards at once, you may immediately use its bonus effect then remove it from play. If you’re unable to eliminate your Stress, you’ll suffer negative points at the end of the game.

The deepest recesses of the ocean hide nightmares even more terrible than those you’ve seen. As the tides carry them to shore, you must steel yourself for a desperate fight.
This 6-card expansion introduces Tide cards, which increase the health and range of existing Nightmares to create nearly unstoppable horrors. One Tide card is added to the rightmost Nightmare at setup and each time a Nightmare is moved to the right side of the sea, it also receives a Tide card. When Nightmares are defeated, their Tide cards are discarded – but they may return if the deck runs out. With the possibility of some Nightmares acquiring multiple Tide cards, careful management is critical to surviving the worst night of your life.

Thick fog covers the sea, sowing doubt and confusion wherever you look. Illuminate these obscured areas if you hope to survive.
This 4-card expansion adds unique Fog cards, all of which are placed above the starting sea. These cards do not move, but remain face-down until a Nightmare underneath one is defeated. Once this happens, reveal the Fog card’s unique effect and discard it. These effects rearrange your Traps and Nightmares, potentially wrecking your plans for survival. All Fog cards must be discarded before the end of the game or the Nightmares win.

The wild magical energy permeating the world calls to each spellcaster differently, inspiring countless unique branches of arcane tradition. Each style's adherents seek to prove their chosen methods superior both for casting ability and for managing the unpredictable surges of magical power.
Wild Magic is an expansion to the Mysticana deck for 1-2 players. The players compete to have the strongest collection of magical energy, denoted by cards they’ve captured from the shared Aether. Each turn, the active player adds one card from their hand to the Aether. This determines which cards they may capture. Newly added cards capture anything of the same rank as well as anything which is the same element and exactly one rank lower. A 7 also captures the lowest card of the weaker element. At the end of play, each player checks for any Backfires: if a player has exactly 2 cards of the same rank, the weaker element is flipped down and provides a penalty. Next, the two players compare their total score across each of the 3 elements; the player with the higher total rank in each element wins that element, and the player who scores the most elements wins the game. Optional Discipline cards add strategy-shaping special abilities for each player.
This month will also include an empty wallet for The Last Lighthouse: Expansion Collection.
That's it for the November Preview. We will post a Choose You Game form when we get closer to fulfillment. Talk soon!
