Friday Art Preview - 11/3/23
Added 2023-11-03 12:54:32 +0000 UTCHappy Friday to everyone! A few months ago I shared some art for an upcoming game called Cortiça. Today I'll be sharing with you some more illustrations.
In Cortiça you'll be using resources to complete Plans cards. The Plans cards consist of cork based products like this wine stopper above. The wine stopper is probably the most well known cork product. There is a lot of artwork in this game as each card will have an illustration on it. We are almost wrapping up the illustrations now which means the next step will be the card layout. Sometimes we work on those in tandem but this time we decided to wait for all of the artwork to be completed since the artwork will heavily influence the card design.
This is an illustration for the Workers card. In this game you will be managing your workers who will provide you with the resources to make the plan cards above. In the illustration you can see two workers holding the most important tool for harvesting cork: the hand axe. Workers use this small axe to slice and peel the cork bark away from the tree. The one worker is holding one of those pieces of bark. What we really like about this illustration is that it shows the worker, the tool and what is being harvested all in one illustration. Also, like all of the artwork in this game it has a nice light cork texture to it!
