Friday Art Preview - 9/15/23
Added 2023-09-15 13:12:43 +0000 UTCHi everyone, can you believe it's Friday already?! Well since it is, let's check out some artwork for a new game by SpaceShipped designer, Lucas Gentry.
We are currently in development of a new game by Lucas Gentry. This title will be called FantasyForm. And yes, as you guessed, it's fantasy themed! It is set in the Earthshine universe. Here we have a really cool centaur illustration by an artist that goes by dm3_inks. This artist really specializes in fantasy characters, so we thought they would be perfect for FantasyForm.
One really important thing to consider is color when designing cards for print. It is important to get the colors of the characters to fit in the palette of the card, and the overall game. When we reach out to an artist we also send them an example of the color palette we want for our game. With all that said, we really like the use of color in these images. There is a nice contrast and brightness to them that we believe will translate to the printed cards very well.

I read the e-mails, but now flipping through on Patreon. I agree, the colors look excellent. And I'm excited for another Lucas Gentry design! I'm not the most observant, but I am surprised no one else has mentioned that these characters have six fingers on their left hand and five on their right. Kinda creepy!
