Here we have a few sketches from an upcoming game by Manuel Correia. In this game you will hire workers, harvest cork and manage your resources to make cork products. These are some sketches from artist Sara Mena. They are still works in progress and I'm super excited to see the final versions. Authenticity really matters to us with this project, so we wanted the art to depict real traditional methods that the farmers use to harvest the cork. In the end, this game should feel very close to how the process is done in real life.
This image was provided by the artist and was a test to see how adding a cork texture would look on the artwork. As you can see it is a very mild texture but it really adds a nice look to the sketch. We often add a texture to the artwork but using cork here really fits the game well!
I hope you're all excited to see this game when it is formally announced. I'll share more art from this game soon!
