Tuesday March 24th Check In

Hey everyone, it's Tuesday March 24th and it's been a week since we talked last, so it's time to check in. The story is the same, still waiting for parts to appear for our upcoming packages, but they are moving, just slower. During this time, we are going to take advantage of some of the less physical way to get you stuff, and today we have two gifts.

Why I Otter - Color Your Own PNP

This is one for the kids, the adults that want to de-stress, and the PNPers that want to make something their own. It was inspired by the below twitter post and some discord discussion.

We made the public version of Skulls of Sedlec and they colored it in themselves. Which is AWESOME, and a great family activity while cooped up at home.

Anyway, we decided to start with Why I Otter and make a coloring version of the PNP. It's just black outlines (and done very quickly as a first try, so forgive me if it's not perfect), but you can make it entirely your own. If you need reference for the in-game colors, it looks like this:

(Above image by Odin Phong as part of his great layout series)

But instead of using those colors, make it your own! Go all out! It's important that each otter type looks the same as the others of that type, but they don't need to be yellow pink and blue.

We also made the rules black and white, but included color rules too just incase you need them a little clearer.

So, print, color, play and let us know if it works out for you. If so, we'll keep these going.

Legends of Dsyx - Roll and Write

We also added the very first Legends of Dsyx roll and write game, Tower of Mages, back into the dropbox. Anyone that was here in Jan 2019 would already have it, but we're going to feature some of these during the downtime. It's also black and white, so it doesn't need much ink (and if you want to bust out the crayons, you can do it here too!)

We hope you enjoy these two games and we'll keep this going. We have a few new games almost ready for PNP, so there will be all new stuff in the mix, as well as games from recent months that haven't been converted to PNP yet.

For the less crafty, we're tinkering with some digital services as well. Anyone use Tabletop Simulator? We have a Twin Stars preview there: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1422586374 and Universal Rule too https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2001435313

Hang in there everyone!

We have one of those coming in the next packages. It’s called Cityline

One thing I would like to see would be roll and writes that aren’t single player. ToM was a blast by the way.

Byl Kravetz

There are a few single pagers in there but not enough. Those are the best.

Personally, I've been literally looking for single page PDFs that I can simply send in an email or in chat with my co-workers. But pnparcade is wonderful and I think the rotating selection of free games is great. I will certainly mention it to some of them.

If so, please share with anyone you would like. And hope you are well too!

Hey David, we have something just like this at PNP Arcade, and with the current situation we’ve been making / rotating free games easy week. There’s a bunch of Button Shy there as well. Check this out and let me know if it’s what you’re looking for :) https://www.pnparcade.com/collections/free-games

Love the idea of expanding your titles into TTS, that would be a huge win for me.

Jeremy Falletta

Hi Jason, I hope you and yours are doing well. With all that's going on, I've been finding myself looking for quick, easy, one sheet PnPs to share with colleagues and friends who aren't gamers. These are people who aren't going to join BGG (yet!) It feels like a chance to share and perhaps to add some new members to our gaming world. Perhaps you could find one or a few of your designers who have a designs they might be willing to share using creative commons. A gaming care package that we could all share. Just a thought. Hang in there! D.
