I am glad you appreciate the depth and not being able to spot everything in one go. A lot of people "give up" and just call it bad/confusing/clusterfk xd (usually people with little patience x:) About the intro scene of this EP: We now know what exactly the Emperor tries to do. Isn't it ironic, that the one who wants to even slay the gods, in order to be freed from all lies, has a Geass that implants lies? And you got that right. It seems Suzaku has somehow lost himself. At least until now he was always against, violence, force and extremes. We can see a parallel here. Lulu seemed to have done something unlike him, going against his slogan "helping those who can't protect themselves, no matter what nationality", by going against unarmed people. My advice is, to keep in mind that Suzaku and Lulu always have either a parallel or contradiction which makes them compliment each other, between them. It's very interesting to see and IMHO good writing. Not sure if I am excited for next EP or dread. I always have mixed feelings about.... how to feel, but I love it so much. Will be explaining more after you've seen it. 2024-11-21 22:33:18 +0000 UTCAlright, there are a few things this Episode, so let's start with CC At the beginning of the Episode we see a flashback with a young emperor Charles and his Wife Marianne, CC and VV are there too showing us that there is not only a connection but also a history between these Four people. Bartley Asprius was the Head of research under prince Clovis and they managed to capture CC and experiment on her, he said that they wanted to present her to the emperor which leads back to the first Episode when we encounter her for the first time, beeing prisoner and so on. In his final moments he says that the Emperor already knew of her existence and that they should have never meddlet with her, meaning that all the research they have done over the years were for naught. To be fair, their research helped advancing knightmare technology but that was not what they wanted to acomplish, what they wanted? I don't know but it is most likely that it was about her immortality, because every emperor loves immortality to rule forever, assuming that and that charles already knew about her and apparently has an older imortal brother it doesn't seem that it is that what he was after afterall, it was about a weapon Killing God and lies. He also seemed very unhappy with VV when he said that "you lied to me again" Now to Rolo, in his own mind he has done the right thing with killing Shirley but we see him instantly lying to Lelouch when confronted, he knew he has done something bad and tried to get away with it by pretending Shirley was a threat to Lelouches identity and possible his life too. Lelouch jumps directly into "well done" mode and we don't really see his real thoughts until the end when he openly says he wants to blow Rolo up for Shirley BUT if you payed attention you could see his real thoughts way sooner, the whole second Season he tried to avoid using Rolo in combat situations, always stating that he needs to be safe, do his homework so they can have a future together and i do believe that up to the Shirley moment he started to like Rolo in a way, he was really useful and loyal after all but now, the first thing he does is using him in a combat situation, that pretty much says all. Villetta is in a difficult position, she didn't switch loyality and was blackmailed into cooperation because of her affair with not only a Japanese Citizen but also a commander of the Black Knights, she probably would face execution if that ever came to light. Now she saw a slight glimmer of hope with Jeremiah killing Lelouch and freeing her from him and i am pretty sure she only informed Lelouch because it was Rolo who asked if she betryed them, Rolo killed his own people for just overhearing things, she would be totally dead meat the second Rolo was convinced he couldn't trust her anymore. Jeremiah turned sides and is now part of Lelouches group too, robbing her of the last hope she had and now she only has three options left, continuing beeing blackmailed, turning herself in and definetly facing death penality for helping them the last months or killing Ohgi and getting rid of the Blackmail, i assume she can make somehow a case that she was forced to work for them or worked undercover, even if Lelouches would release her connection to Ohgi, she could argue that she killed him and it was just part of her cover or whatever, atleast that is my interpretation of her situation. Lastly the Raid on the research base, indeed it is sad to see Children and unarmed people getting killed but let's be real, that is exactly what britannia does al the time all over the world, they are at war and war always hits the innocent the hardest and in this case Lelouch was completly in the right, they researched and produced weapons for Britannia, breeded super soldiers with geass which we directly saw in action during that raid and lastly if there is any need for more arguments, just look at Rolo. Killing them was the right move, the only other options they would have had would be prisioners till the day they die and not an easy high trust secure prison, they have supernatural abilities, probably more along the lines of beeing restrained in one place forever. That's all i can come up with now, tune in next week again for more! As always, most of the things i say are personal interpretation/opinions and informations gathered throughout the yars and many rewatches!
